Rae Ceramics

I have attended Rae's pottery classes and they have been a fantastic way to unwind and learn a new hobbie. She has been very patient with my limited skills and has provided plenty of encouragement to carry on trying new things in the world of pottery. I would 100% recommend attending them!

Really beautiful creations. I've got some vases and bowls which add a great homey/earthy aesthetic around the house. Also got some clay to make my own creation (a clay monster) - which I haven't really done before - and I was really pleased with it, as well as Rae's attention and service. She's such a great person!

Rae not only is an amazing ceramist, she also runs fantastic workshops for beginners that will show you how to work with clay using various techniques including glazing and all finishing touches you need! I went to both taster sessions and building skills sessions, and not only I learnt quite a lot - I also left with beautiful finished pieces that can be kept for yourself or be given as presents to family and friends! Rae is amazing teacher who will make you feel like 'clay' is your friend and you can have lots of fun with it :) Workshops are hosted at Holm in Lancaster which is another bonus as you get to have a lovely cuppa and a cake too in a small group of lovely people ! Bought some gorgeous latte mugs from Rachel after finding her website through Instagram. Her stuff is so beautiful as well as being thought out for functionality. Drinking your coffee out of something that was crafted with care makes it tastes even better!

The class was extremely enjoyable. I’m incredibly pleased by the mushroom tealight I made, which Rae painted, glazed and fired in a kiln for me. I will definitely keep an eye out for more classes as it was such a great experience. Highly recommend.

9th wedding anniversary - the traditional gift being pottery. I racked my brains as to what to get my wife and then thought a private day session with Rae for my wife and I would be great.It wasn't great, it was fantastic, Rae was friendly and very accommodating. Me and my wife had no previous experience but that didn't matter, Rae's teaching made it very enjoyable and fun.It was a fantastic day and would defo recommend.

Beautiful and unique gifts!Each handmade item has a personality of it’s own and you know that no one else has an item quite like yours.I bought myself a small mug from Rae Ceramics in a clearance sale when I first discovered her and it soon became one of my favourite mugs!I bought my partner a limited edition mug for Christmas and he calls it one of his most ‘prized possessions’ and drinks his morning coffee out of it everyday.The items are clearly made with care by someone who loves what they do and are perfect for people who appreciate the art of ceramics.I’m sure our collection will continue to grow nicely!

Rae's skill building pottery course was a fantastic way to learn different techniques, whilst at the same time being able to experiment and make pieces personal to you. The sessions were fun and informative. Rae's enthusiasm and relaxed approach helped to give me the confidence to try out new ideas and not give up! The smaller group size created a friendly environment, where you could chat and share ideas. Finally, Holm provided the perfect place to relax, with the extra bonus of delicious coffee and cake! Thank you Rae and Holm for providing such an enjoyable experience!

Rachel made four ramekin dishes for my sister for Christmas. My sister loves them so much that she has them out on the side as they're too beautiful to go in the cupboard. This is a big deal as she is a super minimalist and NOTHING goes on the sides!!
