Lloyd Park Disc Golf Course

Great course with some really good fun shots. The park is beautiful too. Two words of caution, I would go with someone who has played the course before or use a tee/basket map/app as the the layout is a bit confusing. Second, walkers and runners frequent the course and don’t know that this is also a disc golf area so be patient with them and their dogs.

I throw disks at chains and enjoy it.Started trying different disks along the course now too. I tried the intermediate course for the first time last week and thoroughly enjoyed the layout and how the course allows you to explore parts of the park you never usually would. I'm hooked!

A truly amazing and totally FREE disc golf course. Caters for beginners, intermediates and professionals alike. Features two courses...a short/beginners course consisting 9 holes, all par 3...and a full competition standard 18 hole course. The short course is great for a quick 30 min round, ideal for new players and those with children. The full course is a real challenge, with a great variety of holes and requirements. Disc Golf is a fantastic sport, and whenever I play at Lloyd Park I encounter friendly and encouraging players, and get to enjoy the stunning scenery...a real surprise in a big suburban town like Croydon.There is a cafe in the park where you can rent discs, as well as get a lovely meal. The car parks are free but do have a 3 hr ticket limit on them.This is the perfect course for new players, and especially good for those who want to bring children...with large clean playing fields, play areas and lots to see and do.I cannot recommend this course highly enough...and the work done by the Croydon Disc Golf Club keeping the course clean and tidy, accessible and challenging is only to be applauded.

Two sets of T-Boxes. One for NORMAL players, one for Champion. I lost one of my favorite discs there - but - I had taken 10 discs with me that I had planned on giving away to those players that joined us for the days play. That way - I didn't have to take 'em home - and - I'd help the sport grow.There's this one shot off the T" .. there's a hedge row - tall one - on the right side. There's an OB on the left. Man .. that's a narrow LONG shot. My buddy that came from California with me landed out on the right - over the hedge. I took my shot - planning on a long "annie" shot with an over stable disc (Destroyer) - it was beautiful - went out over the hedge to the right - flipped up - started coming back - it was gonna be right at the basket. Wind kicked up - and it just fell out of the sky. Landed right on TOP of the hedge. Well

Great course. You can play the long one if you are experienced, or the short one if you have less time or if you have just started. Rent a disc at the café (great food!) or buy your own, and you can have a day of fun in the park! Lovely.

Two disc golf courses here which are both free to play. Full 'championship' level 18-hole, plus a beginner-friendly 9-hole that uses the same baskets. Discs (frisbees) can be rented from the cafe. Walked in asked to hire some discs for disc golf, what an outrage they didn’t have any. Unbelievable all I wanted to do was play some disc golf, girl behind counter suggested I ordered a pizza to lob around. She said she’d put it in oven to get it extra crispy. Did fly quite far in the end. Worst customer experiences I’ve had since that curry in Cardiff. Wait till my cousin Paul Mcbeth hears about this!!!!!!!
