**dog friendly**Called in on my way to my next appointment as I had time to stop for some lunch.I've had coffee here before and remember there being a lot more comfy" chairs but there seems to have been a bit of rearranging since my last visit. The seating has all but been changed to hard wooden seats. Possibly due to covid and this is easier to keep clean but either way

Seems like it could be a lovely spot but really fails to deliver on food and service. The pre prepared Relish food is fine. The cooked food less so. The vegan brioche sausage bap was a hard, unbuttered bun with vegan sausages that tased of just breadcrumbs. There was no sauce, nothing else to accompany it.The service is so puzzling. The team couldn't even muster a hello or any speech during the transaction and we had to reach over the counter for our drinks and trays etc. I could have forgiven the food if the service was existent.Spotted a sign by the counter that says no phones allowed during service, odd that it's displayed for customers to see.

Not a lot to see but interesting. Worth popping in for the café. Very good selection of cake and a decent cooked breakfast.

Lovely stop off for food.Visited on my drive down to Wales, and it was a great stop.Dog friendly cafe, but there is an outdoor seated section also.Efficient chef and staff behind the tills.Not a waiter service, but they do give you a little buzzer that will buzz when food and beverages are ready.Food full of flavour and great presentation!!Not to forget, you can take a walk around the old prison and participate in an activity.Highly recommend!!

Popped by here in way back from wales. Featured as a regular haunt for bikers and is mentioned on biker cafe forums so wanted to try. I came Sunday afternoon after a busy lunch session. Despite this, place was clean and tidy. Nice conservatory to eat in. Tea was tasty. Had a tea and a Rocky road to take home for the wife. Tea was £2.50 (big change from wales where is was £1.50) and £3.50 for the rocky road. So a bit steep. But maybe I’m getting old. Knocked stars off as urinal toilets were out of service and the cubicle toilet seat was broken. Shame. Nice venue but bit steep for a biker cafe.

Great little café. Tea was really nice and vegan milk options were readily available. Cakes and lunch food available. I had a vegan and gluten free flapjack which was delicious. Great place to meet friends with bigger and smaller table spaces and a sofa area. Light and airy space. Very nice and friendly staff and clean toilets.

Dropped in for a light lunch. The food was good, not cheap but it's not too expensive. Service is pretty quick & it was nice to sit out in the sunshine while we ate.

Full English breakfast was nice. Plenty choice of cakes (including gluten free). Farm live exhibition is a bit dated... Court house and cell blocks are interesting to visited.

It's a wonderful cafe with a tiny museum. I believe it is funded by the local community. The staff are awesome and also showed us around the place, guiding us through the 'Prison'! Food is served which was delicious. Ordered a Pizza and it was absolutely banging. Loved it. Beer also served ( even one on tap!) Definitely worth visiting.
