Was very disappointed, lots of people say how good it is so thought we would try it out, asked for a large portion of chips, there was nothing large about this compared to other chippy's in the area, the large chips came in a smaller box than the sausages did? sausages seemed over cooked as well looked like they had been there for quite a while? service was ok and everything social distancing so happy about that, just disappointed on the portion size for the price.

Best fish & chips we have ever had. Cooked fresh so no soggy chips and beautifully white cod in crunchy batter. Always busy but service was quick. Highly recomnend.

First time in 4 months and disappointed is a understatement. Although chips cooked fresh they were very crusty and felt like that had been stood for a while. Don’t think I will return when your paying a lot for what you get here.

Finally tried this place as there wasn't a queue and we needed dinner, food was OK, price reasonable and service good.Easily accessible with plenty of parking outside, only a small shop so there's usually a queue outside waiting.Chips I had were fine, small fish was very good admittedly but the battered burger was inedible. It caught my eye on the menu and I thought why not but I wouldn't recommend it at all. The burger inside was frankly disgusting.Price was reasonable given the times.I was expecting more given the well presented shop, regular queues and reputation.

05/21 EDITKudos to the management here for moving to environmentally friendly cardboard containers.Tasty, cheap food & friendly service.Proper local chippy that's been part of the community for over 80 years.The shop's been refitted and changed at least twice in my time but the service and quality of the food have both remained fantastic.Good choice of food. Generous portions. Always hot. Never had a bad meal from here.

We usually go to Ruddys in Hucclecote as we live locally and it’s convenient however their serving system is poor with staff not serving people in the queue in order. You are almost treated like children. The chips and other products are average.
