A very friendly and kind staff. It was my first time visiting this centre and it was such a pleasant experience. From the gentleman at the front door, receptionist and my lovely nurse, Lucy whom was very sweet, calm, friendly and absolutely lovely. The free parking facility also makes it super easy to get to this venue. Thank you guys for the lovely time I had yesterday over there.

The best experience I’ve had giving blood was at this donor centre! I was seen by Nat who was so lovely, chatted with me and gave me advice on something I asked about. The other nurses were also lovely and made it a nice place to be. Even though they were short staffed you’d never know, they didn’t rush and all nurses took their time to make sure I was okay.

Fantastic team at this centre, led by a great manager called Rob who is always visible and very knowledgeable. The staff really care and always have smiles on their faces (even if hidden by a mask). I always allow an hour to donate, but find I am through within 30 minutes. Free parking is available (just remember your car reg) in any if the hospital public car park. Keep up the great work team Edgware! ❤️❤️

Stopped accepting walk in appointments during covid, havent been able to donate since. Not everyone is able to schedule appointments weeks in advance. No doubt lost many donors since this policy was introduced.

Donated in December 2020 but only posting this now. Picture added to prove I really donated. Donating at this centre was really awful and put me off donating ever again. Staff were, on the whole, cold and unfriendly. Generally making very little effort to make you feel welcome or comfortable. The whole place is really loud and rushed, you feel like a piece of meat they're trying to use up and spit out, whereas other places I've donated they've clearly prioritised donor comfort above everything else.When I'd finished giving my pint of blood but was still in the donor chair, a managery type came up and asked the nurse that had taken my blood to move me on quickly. Didn't even acknowledge me in any way at all, just talked about me like I wasn't in the room even though I was about 5 feet away. The post donation area had very few chairs and there wasn't a permanent nurse there looking after people like I've always had at other places. I feel pretty confident saying the positive reviews here are from people who've never donated anywhere else because Edgware was really awful.The whole vibe throughout my time there was just clinical, uncaring and soulless. I really felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave when all my other donations have gone really well and have left me feeling really happy.I would STRONGLY recommend if you are going to donate blood that you do it somewhere other than here. Because you may end up having an awful experience that puts you off for life like I did.

A small but wonderful blood donor centre. Staff are amazing. Professional, friendly and supportive of donors. They get to know the regulars and are genuine in seeing how people have been between donations. The centre has 6 beds for platelet/plasma donation and 3 for whole blood donation. All areas are light, clean and fully wheelchair accessible. There is ample free parking for donors when they display the parking pass available at the reception. Being a busy centre, it's strongly advised to book in advance. Walk-ins are welcome and they accommodate where possible but there can be a wait.

Can sometimes be a wait to actually donate, but staff are professional & caring at all times.
