Parkfields Surgery
Probably one of the worst surgeries that I have ever known. For example called on behalf of my wife who now has a list of issues that she needs to see a doctor for only to be fobbed off again and again with weak excuses if I could give a score of zero stars I would. Also should my wife end up with a life threatening illness due to this not being treated early caused by the delay of this surgery I will be considering illegal action against them.

Parkfields have made big changes recently. Reception less personal now but the actual process is much better now they've merged with other surgeries. I've recently been poorly which resulted in hospital administration and can honestly say every time I've telephoned for an appointment I've had a call back and been seen on the same day albeit at different surgeries by different doctors but each and every time I've received 1st class treatment and am very impressed by the service they offer... thank you and well done Parkfields

Dr Adamwhaite is fantastic, I got call back appointments very easily and she was brilliant in helping meUpdate, again today I called and used the call back service and within an hour had spoken to Dr Harriet and had everything sorted without feeling rushed and was shown empathy. If you call and it’s a long queue, rather than wait it’s so much easier to use call back..you don’t lose your place in the queue. Called back by reception within half an hour and then by doctor within half an hour. Thanks

Rude reception staff. I wanted to book an appointment because the NHS's own website said to book an appointment if you're having symptoms from that particular condition for the first time. I told the receptionist that and she just said I should go to the pharmacist for that, that they didn't have any appointments anyway then rushed me off the phone before I cod properly respond. I was feeling apprehensive about booking and wanted to also book a cervical screening but I didn't even get time to properly respond before she hang up. She made me feel like I was stupid for doing something I'd been advised to do by the NHS itself!

Supposed to of been referred for adhd assessment in July . Chased multiple times and told it was “with the team” so discover today is never been referred . Waiting lists are long enough as it is . Was given the number for psychiatrist which was incorrect , was a number for gastro . These doctors are useless and don’t have their head screwed on. If you are neurodivergent or have mental health issues these guys are laughable

For some reason people are moaning about getting through on the phone, all I can say is that it's like every surgery in the UK so why mark them down? The receptionists are kind, and more importantly understanding. My top choice doctor is, doctor nathan... He's a wonderful man in quite clearly a very busy practice. I love the service so thank you

Very inefficient surgery. Phoning for an appointment advises to book via the surgeries website. The website offers zero appointments for four months. Phoning the surgery again puts you in a queue to speak to 'someone'. Strangely, you always appear to be around 30th in the queue!! They offer a call back service but very rarely call back! If you do manage to speak to someone and get a same day appointment, the biggest surprise awaits you on arriving at the surgery.........an empty waiting room .....no other patients! What are the GP's actually doing! It's no wonder the pre-recorded message for the surgery requests that you treat the staff with respect as the frustration from trying to get help will inevitably lead most to venting their anger at the receptionists who answer the phone! The NHS could save a few quid by shutting this excuse for a surgery down !!One other thing to note. The parking at the surgery is very limited which is understandable for such a small practice. However, the space available outside the surgery.......approx four cars length........is taken up on a daily basis by staff who work there meaning that arriving by car to the surgery may result in being unable to park your vehicle.

After spending 6 hours over 3 days trying to get through on the phone to get an appointment, I was told I couldn't get an appointment and I'd be better off going to the walk in centre. After explaining that I can't really use my left arm due to the pain in my elbow and the fact that I can't grip anything, I still got the same response....

Simply the worst surgery I have ever come across. They ask you to be polite to the staff but who’s telling the staff to be polite to patients. Only a handful of brilliant Doctors and nurses, who you can’t get hold off. No priority for an 8 week baby. Disgusting!

This is an old review from about 7 months ago but ive just had to edit it today (july 27th 2023 )to say thankyou to the doctor who rang me back ..i got a telephone appointment today and straight away the doctor prescribed me my new medication and even fast tracked it so i had it delivered by day and night pharmacy within 7 hours...brilliant service today aswell...Dec 22/ I am new to this doctors but the doctor I saw was lovely. There was a student in the room with us too and I like the fact they gave her that opportunity to learn the ropes too. He was understanding. I had double booked appointments as I had two enquiries. I have a lump in my breast and literally within a few hours he had sorted me an appointment at derby city hospital- Breast clinic. Dr Muhammad is his name. Really nice man.
