Hightown Housing Association

I can not recommend Hightown Housing on any basis, hence the one star. The contact throughout the sale was poor. The handover was rushed and barely any information given. The build quality is cheap and poor. Even the builders working on the estate say it's all been done as cheap as possible. You have a dedicated homeowner representative... Mine has been poor. Hard to get hold of, then when you do get hold of them, they never seem to be able to answer your query first time and say they need to speak to someone else to get an answer then you don't hear back and have to chase continuously to get anywhere. They charge an extortionate service charge and then don't do the work they are charging you for. Extremely poor all around. I could not recommend them and can't wait to get away from them.

DO NOT BUY SHARED OWNERSHIP FROM HIGHTOWN ESPECIALLY ANY OF THEIR APARTMENTS IN THEIR NEW DEVELOPMENT AT WATFORD, BLUEBELL PALACE !!!!!This supposed to be our first property via shared ownership at bluebell palace. Little did we know that we will be sharing bins with council tenants. Little did we know that our parking spots , we paid for will be used by council tenants , Little did we know that house and surroundings will look like a dumpster because cleaner doesn't come even thought I pay £72.90 service charge montly. My daughter is severely unwell which can be result of contaminated bins and unhygienic living standards. My son was very unwell a few weeks back.There are more things I can't mention in order to protect our safety.Concers were first raised in August. So far they issued tenants with a letter after my numerous phone calls and emails. We are now in November. Person who supposed to take care of property never responds to my emails nor answer a calls.

Been living in Hightown properties for 7 years. I would recommend you do not rent with them. The first property was amazing, got pressured to move into a new build and it has been the worst 3 years of my life. Poor soundproofing and antisocial behaviour caused banging at all hours of the night. The communal areas are poorly maintained and other tenants cause issues. Antisocial behaviour and they do not respond to emails or fob you off when you try to phone.

To eager to rush u off the phone , I've had mould all in the house since moving in even thought it's a new build, still waiting for it to be fixed and I'm incurable chronically ill and also have copd , my daughter is pregnant and been in hospital twice aslo due to her asthma because this , the hot and cold pipes were fitted the wrong way round so the toilet cistern was boiling hot and burnt my son , also costing my a fortune in electric which they won't compensate for , the electric wiring downstairs is dangerous the oven is always live , u also have to really push the light switch to get light and u get shocks from that , , still have no heating and I'm chronically ill , freezing in the house , costing me loads on lil heaters , front door u can hardly get out of , upstairs wall has got to be repaired as moves . Downstairs toilet still blocked , it's disgusting how you are meant to live in these new builds with loads wrong and u call to get it fixed and there rude to you , don't want to listen to you at all , just want to get off the phone , try tell u that u haven't reported it previously even though u have the emails . They do not care about there's tenants at all . I've been sleepin on a sofa for 8 weeks as it's so cold in my bedroom and it hurts my body even more and I end up stuck in bed for days in severe pain and also pneumonia, coz no heating and I got a lil blow heater down stairs . Even with social care reports they don't do nothing

Adressss charter court. .....hp2 5gf My flat all drugs dealer and users live in How many times have I called and complained police and high town not care ......dont move high high town horibble service ....They park in the car park without permission and stay there for days. Nobody takes care of anything.

They increase rent prices during a housing and economical crisis but they only increase it for certain residents". People haven't had proper heating for a year and had no hot water. It is 24/02/2023 13:41pm there is no hot water.... again. Yet they are allowed to enforce rent increases on people who can't even wash their children or heat their homes. Welcome to Hightown."

We absolutely love our flat, decorated and finished to a good standard, good sized rooms. We found Hightown staff, helpfull and friendly and are grateful for being able to move away from our landlady and live in peace. My only negative is we have some antisocial behaviour going on that they said they will look into, but I wouldn't blame Hightown for some of the people that get placed in their properties.

Shockingly awful housing association with totally useless housing officers. If you live in one of their properties, be sure drug dealing, being assaulted and neighbours kicking your door in will be ignored by absolutely useless housing officers who only do their jobs upon high level complaints from external agencies.

If only you could give 0 stars!!So, the list is extremely long..After calling about issues with the property it either gets ignored. Jobs do not get completed in time and are often signed off as completed even though the have not been done.Hightown use external contracts one in which came in and have just made more issues.. which Hightown have said its ok your property is liveable.Hightown gave a time schedule for work to be completed and failed! Had to move all the kitchen appliances into the front room for contractors not to come for a further week.

Regrettably, zero stars wasn't an option. The 'management' of this company is incredibly incompetent. They exhibit a complete lack of responsiveness to emails or calls with some of the representatives rude as anything. Our building has been without working lifts for nearly six months, and attempts to cut costs by the management company of the building result in temporary fixes lasting less than 24 hours. There's a noticeable absence of empathy for residents, including families with children and individuals with disabilities, who struggle with stair access. They act as the middle man and look to offer no help to their residents and shift the blame on others. Take some responsibility! People are not living here for free.
