Wigginton Squash & Social Club

Been a member of this Squash club since I was a child. Very supportive, friendly and welcoming members. New members are always welcome in both Squash and social events. Bar staff very friendly and an overall good atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Went to the squash club for the first time a few weeks ago. Didnt know anyone but was soon made to feel welcome by the other members. Everyone was really friendly! I only went as a spectator but now considering taking up the sport!!

Great to come here after refereeing at football. Lovely bar and an honour to meet the Forest chap behind the bar, it was lovely listening to his stories of my clubs history and seeing him beam with pride. Decent pint too, look forward to my return! Roge n George the dog.

My children have coaching at the club on a regular basis and both really enjoy themselves and are improving each week.We also visit the club on a social basis for some of the family events and are always taken back at how much effort is put in voluntarily.Keep up the great work!

I wont give a one star review as the facilities are very good for squash and if you want to just play squash its great. But everything else I was in the end disappointed by people. After putting in a complaint about witnessing bullying from staff to other staff something i believed was very serious, they in the end said it was dealt with and nothing else would be said about it, i was pretty appalled with how i was brushed off saying it was the end of the matter but i guess that's the way it goes there. The courts are great to play squash the training was fun and games i played , unfortunately unless you join the gang or create your own, tow the line, show great skill, involve yourself in in-house gossip its very hard to feel truly wanted there. There are some great members i'll miss but the club is let down by the rest, it is a shame.

Fantastic facility with friendly people and a great atmosphere. Squash, Bar, function room, fitness suite and love the big screens to watch sport.

I can only go on my own experiences at this place. As a member, suffered a severe episode of bullying by one of the members of staff which led me to fleeing the place in floods of tears. Said episode was witnessed by a few people and at least 3 complaints were put in about the staff member to the committee. My own complaint was investigated by the staff members own friends and unsurprisingly, she was cleared by them of any wrong doing regardless of the numerous pieces of evidence to the contrary. Other complaints received a very similar response.Am currently in the process of filing a civil suit against the club regarding the bullying incident and the subsequent threatening behaviour by certain members of the committee towards other members.Good squash facilities but the behaviour of certain staff is shocking and the subsequent behaviour of the committee has been utterly unacceptable and therefore the club cannot be recommended.EDIT To respond to committee*stating what happened is neither bullying or harassment. I have every right to state my experiences at the club and nothing I have written is false which we all know as there were numerous witnesses to said incident. I'm sorry that you don't like it but a serious incident occurred and the committee didn't deal with it therefore i have every right to state my appalling experience with the club*

Standard York league affair has plenty of fields main two are roped off with dugouts center pitch has some portacabins. With tea bars toilets changing rooms, sports field has some low level training lights, parking good, has tennis bowls squash etc on site too.

Excellent place to join. Not only is there the squash courts but there is also a small gym. There is also a very nice social room for getting together after a game
