Excellent course delivered by a highly personable professional in Brian Collyer on behalf of First Class Sailing. I went in a complete novice expecting a bit of CPR, but this course is way more than this. Complete attention to detail re: Covid guidelines and the course materials are excellent. I highly recommend this course. One of the best I've been on.

Very professional, thorough instruction and training. Instructors are very knowledgeable, with background in sailing, RNLI and the NAVY. Took my skipper license with them over 10 years ago and now preparing for my Yachtmaster Offshore. Took the 1st aid course and the VHF assessment in the Cruising Association in London, super central and practical! They have a lot of slots and availabilities and are very organised. Definitely recommend!

Excellent 1st aid training - instructor couldn’t have had more real life experience - decades of paramedic, RNLI and a yachtie as well. Highly recommend. Take a lunch tho as the CA menu is limited!

I did my day skipper theory in Limehouse, with Bruce. He is funny and really knowledgeable, on top of it he can explain every concept really well. I met a nice group of people and I really enjoyed going there one evening per week. On the last full weekend we had even more time to socialize, and at the end of the course I felt sad I wouldn't be coming back the week after.I plan to do more courses in the future!

Hi Nigel ran an excellent diesel engine course at the CA. He very clearly explained the workings of diesel engines and the usual maintenance requirements. It would help if a Yanmar engine could be added to the demos as these engines are all subtly different and Yanmars are quite popular nowadays. Jan

First Class Sailing was a great choice for Day Skipper theory - they offer a range of different methods to study but I found the in-person classes at Limehouse Basin great to learn in. Martin was a great teacher - there was a lot of content to cover but I appreciate he took the time to make sure we understood the content.
