Half Moon
We came for our evening meal using the vouchers put through the letter box. We entered a lively pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. And although our choices were chosen from a fairly standard pub menu, the food was cooked and presented well. It tasted good to the pallet, we cleared our plates! And we will definitely come back to visit soon.

I have been coming here for over 30 years.A lot has obviously changed over the years.This is our go-to place for lunch.The staff are very welcoming.Lots of choice on the menu.Very reasonably priced.Very clean. Very relaxing. Kid friendly.Disabled friendly. Dog friendly.

This was the day of the Sherborne Pack Monday Fair. I was so pleased to get a table booked the evening before. I was not disappointed . We both selected the Hunter's Chicken which came quite quickly and was very tasty. The staff were helpful and polite.

Some confusion on booking I did state I would have 2 small well behaved dogs but upon arrival was told no dogs allowed in in restaurant ? With a pool table just next door ?? Food was a limited choice but was well prepared unfortunately we were sat in bar area where the locals frequent one builder top totoe front and back in mud and thefoul language was often and loud ,limited choice on the ales too staff were very pleasant but I don't think we will be visiting again anytime soon

Lovely beer. I ate there too. Chicken goujons to start were delicious. For mains I had the mixed grill. Thank heavens I didn't opt for the mega grill. It was huge and the rump was cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit. And they sell Banks's mild. I haven't had that for years.Update, 19/09/22. Pizza and a beer for £9. Unbeatable considering the pizza alone was over £1030/10/22, service great as usual. Ultimate Burger was cooked to perfection, very soft and juicy. The chips were perfect too.10/12, quarter finals day. Standing room only. Extra serving staff working at full pelt. Great service as usual.

Amazing service, the food was brilliant, Craig the chef was so good. He made sure we were happy with where we were sat and that our order was correct too. Went over and above!!

I was really surprised how wonderful it was,clean amazing food we had the Christmas menu and could not find a thing wrong.Staff also very helpful .I was so pleased I am going back as a group of 10.

We stayed overnight and ate in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good typical pub fare at a reasonable price. It's discounted if you stay at the hotel. They serve real ale which was good. It's a good location and has its own car park, which is free if you are staying there. We would definitely stay again.

Staff were kind and friendly,Although we did book a high chair there wasn't one available on the day which made it a little awkward,The roast beef on the day was tasteless and had a twang to it, (staff agreed with this after trying it in the kitchens)However the manager was very understanding and discounted this on the bill.
