Just ordered for good Friday with 10 of us at work. Arrived late and fish looked like it had been sitting there a while. Batter was cold and stale. They charged me £11 for large fish and chips which half they give me a cod bite? Guessing they ran out but certainly not worth 11 in the slightest.They charge 1.70 for tubs of sauces. At the time I didn’t mind as expected the sauce to be large. The sauce arrived and just a standard fish shop tub! The owners should be absolutely ashamed of them greedy selves charging that for ‘sauce’ in this current climate.This was a good shop a few years back when they had fish shop of the year advertised now they have went down hill and honestly I wouldn’t waste your money. They are a set of greedy owners only caring about profit

Fish bites, chips, curry and asked for plain chicken and salad in a tray only with no pitta bread. Staff and owner were confused at this request and must have thought we were speaking Swahili! £17+ as well! Chicken was in fact tandoori when we got home and had grissle on every bit. When we rang and complained the Owner was very abrupt and said that's how the chicken is!! Only good thing about it was the paper it was wrapped in. Won't be back here again ever.

Ordered a wrap and a spicy 12 inch stuff crust pizza, the wrap was chunky, the pizza was amazing, will reorder again no grease from the pizza, food delivered hot . This is 1 of the best pizzas around here. better than ravennas. Another day I ordered the mixed grill kebab (on naan) with chips and chilli sauce, the chips were chippy style chips , the kebab , top tip eat the chunks of chicken 1st to enable you to pick it up to eat, it looks small wrapped in the foil but when it's in your hands it's quite chunky . Update had another pizzas and decided to get a cheeseburger. Without salad, bit plain nothing special

The food at this chippy was disappointing when I went. The chips were bland and a bit soggy, no real crisp to them. Gravy was thin and didn't have much flavour. Battered sausage was really nice. Battered burger was okay. The best part of our meal was the calzone. Decent sauce and flavours.Food also took over an hour to come during the day on a Saturday. So not a particularly busy time.

Really disappointed with my order when it arrived it was like warm fish was very dry and the chips were disgusting might as well of put the £11 40 in the bin won't be using mariners again

What a joke. Cash payments only in store. In this day an age of most places being cashless and people using contacless/phones to pay. Was told to go to shop next door to buy something to get cash back or use card machine nearby. Alternatively order via just eat/sunderland eats both apps i dont while have and have no intention of downloading while in the shop and order online. What a fxcing joke. Will not be using this place....... I'll just wait til back in town after doing a local job and get dinner from a good chippy.
