Would have given the store a score of zero but as it is a star grading of 1-5 i have chosen the lowest . Had an awful experience at the Daybrook Store today when we went to collect on behalf of our tiler who had a trade account . Simon, branch manager , asked us as we entered the store if we had a trade account. We said yes , he asked for the post code , something we didnt have as it was our tilers account but we could get it in a short tele call .He then said I'm sorry i can't serve you , it has to be the account holder personally. My husband explained he had been in twice in the week once with the tiler and then the following day on his own for more adhesive . He was never questioned and served by another member of staff . My husband asked if he, Simon ,was in the store during the week when he replied I might have been im not sure, my husband said you were because I saw you in the corner of the store and you watched me being served and as a manager you never questioned it then why today? Simon couldn't reply . The most shocking thing was he proceeded to approach us with his hands raised and what felt as I could only explain as degrading , asking us to leave the store as we shouldn't be there. When asked why he said it wasn't our rules it was the governments" .Simon suggested his staff only served us during the week as they didnt know the rules like he did!Simon as a manager YOU are responsible to educate your staff on the correct procedures for your store or business.Ths correct government procedures are to keep a social distance and wear a face covering.NOT to push customers out of the store in a very un professional manor .I would have been completely ashamed if any of my staff treated any customers in this way.The whole situation could have been handled different if only Simon knew the rules and carried himself a little more professionally .I will not be spending any more money at this store again ."

Good selection and variety of tiles. The actual store layout is a bit cluttered with some areas littered with bags of grout? Staff didn't engage with us, which was fine as we were just browsing.

Very good place, loads of range, advice and excellent customer service. I didn't get my tiles here, just everything else. Next tiling job, I'll get it all from here. Thanks guys for such excellent service. Came here 3 times for one job as they had everything I needed.

Friendly staff, but poor refund policy, had the long Eaton shop work out what I needed to complete a walk in shower, was over sold on the tile adhesive, my tiler only needed half a bag of adhesive and the shop told us we would need 2 and at nearly £30 a bag it’s not cheap, tried to return the un opened bag only to be told we had had it too long (we bought it in June) so could not have a refund, the reason we have had to wait 3 months is because our tiler is in the territorial army and has been working away building the covid testing vans.We purchased the tile grout from the Arnold shop 2 weeks ago, again they over sold us grout, told us we needed 2 tubs but again the tiler only needed less than tub, this was refunded no problem.The staff were friendly enough and couldn’t actually give a reason why we couldn’t return the adhesive except it was company policy....didn’t want to push too hard as the staff member looked close to tears, I guess they probably go through the same refund related questions every day, so it’s not a bad review against the staff more about the company policy

Nice shop, but it's only small and they didn't have what I was looking for. Good customer service, the guy was very helpful and showed me to the area I was asking about

Had a perfect customer service experience at the Arnold branch of Topps Tiles. Went in first thing on a Wednesday morning and the two gentlemen working that day helped me choose tiles as well as organise them to be delivered to my home in London from another branch. I subsequently had to alter the order and they helped me track down the only three boxes of the right tiles left in any London branch and reserve them for me, changing my order reference and texting it to me and generally just making my life as easy as possible. I have to say it’s also nice to be able to call a store and someone answer / call you back these days. Overall just really happy with the service so thanks guys :)

Topps tiles aren't the cheapest BUT the quality of the tiles we purchased were very good and the staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for tiles and have a few questions and have a nice member of staff takecare of you definitely recommended this place specifically

The staff were really helpful D and there was a good range of tiles to view in person.

Staff were super friendly and helpful every step of the way, helping us with choosing the tiles originally, when picking up our order and when we had to make a return.

The staff were really helpful, telling me exactly what I needed to lay my tiles. The tiles I purchased look amazing.
