Fun Valley Derby

I can’t even sleep after what happened today, I am traumatised. To what I thought was going to be a lovely trip, I left in tears. I’m 9 months pregnant and took my mum along to help.Firstly I waited patiently for someone to take my entrance fee. Upon entering I was told to order food before 5pm around 4.30pm I ordered a kids meal and I went up again at exactly 4.54pm to order a second but I was refused. My mum being a mum went up and was upset, she said “my daughter is pregnant and you’ve refused her food.” After a whole dramatic 10-15 minutes they made food and the chef came to my table, a Pakistani lady around 50 years old and slammed the plate on my table with some pretty nasty words about my mum. I went into shock and minutes later returned the food which we paid for.My mum went to buy a drink, a fruit shoot for my son. In seconds my 2 year old managed to escape the locked gates and ended up on the road. A kind gentleman came and brought him back in. Even he was in shock to find my son on the road. If I could find this man again I would love to thank him properly as anything could of happened. Thank you for saving my son. I have asked for cctv to be looked at, as my many years of attending soft play this is the first time for anything like this to happen. Imagine the feeling of an absolute stranger giving your child back to you. It was a relief but you can’t help think of the what if’s things like abduction and molestation.I last visited early 2022 and had a lovely time, the staff were different. One of the staff members took the time to come and sit with me today to talk about the ordeal and understood the traumatic time I had and refunded £15 which included the entrance fee and food, which I appreciate, but sometimes you can’t make a person feel better and that too a pregnant lady. I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to recover from today but I am grateful that I I got my son back.

In comparison to other soft play venues as a family we would probably visit this over others. Food is nice yet affordable. Good play area for the kids. The only things that could be improved are the warmth in the lower seating area and parking facilities when busy.We had my youngest sons birthday party here and we were really happy with the price, food and facilities. The upper area where the party food is served is warmer than downstairs which is a plus.

Went here for a birthday party. The layout of the equipment is very good. Loads of things for the kids to do on each level. Would benefit from having some bins up on the mezzanine floor, as customers need to walk downstairs to throw rubbish away.

Amazing fun, great indoor play area. Staff were very friendly and polite. First time here, amazing fun for children and adults. The toddler area alone is as big as most indoor play areas, the main play area is awesome. Every square meter of both play areas are full of fun activities. So many slides, indoor trampoline and mini football/ basketball area all included. The best indoor play area, great family fun. Highly recommended 10/10

Visited place few times,plenty to do for kids. Cafe sraff not pleasant-rudeish. We ordered latte and hot chocolate. Latte was amazing. My friend got hot chocolate and there was barely any drink in the cup. She complained to the staff and they responded that thats her drink. We ay for drink not to sit and sip milk foam. Sitting area was dirty and staff didnt clean it for a very long time,parents were using wet wipes to clean tables and sit down.

It is a nice big place, the junior Sara looked a lot more interesting than the toddler one. I found it quite frustrating that it only had two small slides and a one way in and out system. Also it was freezing cold, there was no heating on. Even while climbing with the children me and my little one were really cold.Decent Coffee though, and decent prices.

Attended a child’s party today. Only one parent stayed, we decided to sit down stairs because we had small children and we didn’t want them going up and down the stairs to the play area, we was asked to move upstairs while eating our food, but the member of staff realised it was only the one table we was using, so he kindly agreed for us to stay down stairs.We was told again to go upstairs because the party food was ready, they have no people skills whatsoever, it’s obvious we was going to move upstairs to monitor the children eating, but she was awkwardly waiting for us to move.After food the party was coming to a end we had 15 minutes left remaining of the party we was asked yet again to move to the other side of the party room, i mean what is this musical statues. They wanted the next parent to the next party to enter the party room, and the previous party hadn’t finished. There was three members of staff trying to get rid of us. So rude.I won’t be returning, staff need some major training session, and they need gaps in between parties. Very strange experience

Kids love this place , great for birthday parties. They got toddler area aswell so little kids can enjoy safely too.

Kids absolutely loved it. The food is pretty abysmal quality so won't eat there but overall the play area and equipment is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. The car park is terribly small and not very ideal for a facility that lots of people want to use. The area is double yellow lined everywhere so also no on street parking is available.

Nice place for the kids. Plenty to play with especially the toddler area, which is quite rare to find. A very clean environment including toilets and the bonus was, the food was halal. Original for me as we don't have this option in Nottingham. The only one thing I hope the organisation works on, will be there customer service. Unfortunately the staff were not very talkative and family/child friendly. I believe to be working within this environment, these skills are extremely vital. The staff were not rude but I felt we're not approachable and felt they would be bothered if I did converse with them or ask for their services. However, on an overall totally recommended as my family enjoyed it. So thank you ☺️
