Unfortunately I have to say I had a terrible experience at this spa. The masseuse spoke pretty much no English and so before starting asked me no questions on how I would like the massage, which areas to focus on etc, this did however not bother me too much. When she began it was anything but relaxing, 'massaging' me in a very painful and uncomfortable way and I had to ask her to stop a few times as it hurt so much! It felt like she didn't really know what she was doing! When she finally moved onto massaging my back with oil, and not through a towel, she was very fast and vigorous, I tried to tell her I wanted a more slow and relaxing massage (less poking, pinching and hitting) she had no idea what I was saying and had to call in a man from reception, I explained to him and he translated to her, I lay back down ready for my relaxing massage to begin...nope, exactly the same! After massaging my back with oil she got a load of rough paper towel and roughly scrubbed off the excess oil. After she briefly massaged the back of my legs through a towel and pinched my arms a bit, she asked me to turn over and sat me up right, without warning she moved the towel covering my front to put over my back, making my bra fall off which I found quite embarrassing. She then straddled me from behind and put her left leg around my body I'm guessing the start of more pain, this is not something they'd ever do in a Swedish massage and definitely not something I wanted her doing so I told her no, she just massaged me sat upright through the towel for a bit and then told me it was finished to my relief as, I was hating every second of it by now. I asked her if she could ask the mananger to come in pointing at the door and saying man" so she could understand. When he came in i explained that I was not happy with the massage and he said she could give me an additional 5 minutes more so she could focus on the area she had missed

The massage room and the reception area were really old with old furniture and not much of an ambience; the place just looked run down and not very clean. The masseuse was not really trained it seemed - the massage kind of average, no real pressure at specific points - disappointing really. And the lady at reception was quite pushy trying to get clients to sign up for 6 sessions for a discount, etc.

Been a customer since 2016 for waxing treatments by Kiara. She was fantastic! She was diligent, non judgemental, personable and extremely skilled which is a rare combination of qualities in the service sector. Haven't been back since she's been away. Disappointed that there's no clarity about her return date. Really hoping she returns soon.

Yep you NEED to AVOID this place! They have no idea what a “relaxing massage” is. No english at all. Even when I'm telling them i have pains my upper back and to focus on that, they have no clue or even understood me at all. Just shocked that they can charge £60 for this. Weird experience i can tell you lol and yes they are not as “professional” as you’d think they are. Use to go there few years back and was good so was expecting something standard but never going there again. Its not a legit place! I could of made a scene but left it as they dont speak proper english so aint wasting my time and energy. This is one of the longest reviews ive done dont normally write like this but honestly its bad guys. Tiny gross rooms can hear floorboards creak LOL prime location too. Aint even worth the 1 star even thats generous.

I used to go to this place for massage but after my most recent experience, i vow not to return to them anymore.Firstly, they jack up all their prices in Canary Wharf compared to their counterparts in Chiswick and Earl's Court. Fine by me, if it is commensurate with good service. The masseus was not particularly skillful, and at the end of the massage session, she did not give clients much time to recover and change into our clothes. A minute or so after treatment, she barged into the room and demanded that I leave the room immediately because the next client was coming in (barking instructions to me while I was completely naked), and was preparing the room for the next client while I was changing inside the same room. I find this type of service totally unacceptable, even more so when I am paying more than I used to.I will not return to this place and do not recommend this place to anyone if they are looking for decent service.

Avoid!! Poor hygiene, empathy and customer service. I recently visited the health spa for an emergency foot massage as I have been experiencing painful pressure points around the sole of my feet . The pleasant receptionist referred me to the 'doctor' who suggested that my foot was fine and that I needed a back massage. I thanked the doctor for his suggestion, however I went ahead with the foot massage. During the 20 minutes treatment session with the doctor he presented disengaged, lacked emotion and empathy whilst pressing harshly on the painful pressure point using a reflexology tool... At the end of the session the doctor abruptly told me that the session had come to an end, then left the room without advising or suggesting any aftercare . I left the spa feeling discouraged and extremely disappointed - I will not be returning back.

Depends on the service you choose. I’ve done acupuncture, reflexology and massage. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anything health related. They are extremely pushy will make you feel uncomfortable pushing packages, and the quality of treatment is also not there. For example I booked acupuncture specifically for treating pregnancy sickness. The person doing it was very pushy saying I needed massage as well and I ended up doing it. after he did the acupuncture and was going to forget the P6 which is an obvious point for sickness. He only put the needles there because I said it and when I checked later the needle was in the wrong place… very disappointing. Next time I went, did reflexology and the women massaged my feet with plastic gloves which was very bizarre and unpleasant. The last thing I’ll say is that for my last acupuncture session another practitioner spent a long time asking questions with the intention to sell me herbs for sickness, something other Chinese doctor (more trustworthy one) said it’s not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy. And in this place they were pushing this very strongly and very expensive as well! How dangerous.Their purpose here is not to heal you but to rip you off and sadly the treatments they performed in me didn’t work at all.

** updated review ** I've been going to China Health Spa aka Fountain Beauty for around 5 years now. I love that you can call up and get emergency massage appointments. I also love the Asian/Oriental styles of massage. Very good masseuses. Friendly staff. This is a no frills service so don't expect spa luxury, but the quality of the massage is great and prices very good. I prefer authenticity over some fancy pants massage place that only offers fluffy Swedish massage.

DANGEROUS. STAY AWAY. I'm still in agony in mid back where I had zero pain before appointment. This is four days after massage". I was experiencing some slight neck ache so i wanted a massage to relieve some tension. I got an aggressive rude doctor who cracked my spine even though i tried to resist it. I can barely walk
