Yet another large firm devoted to selling garden plants,power tools,barbecue cookers, furnishing & fittings,including electrical items. DIY items,kitchen & bathroom units, paints of various colours,etc. Prices are in the main reasonable. How anyone can fail to find the entrance to this store,ought to head straight for Specsavers in Princess Square!

I know the weather has been extraordinarily hot recently but I was very disappointed to find that many places I visited last week had fresh plants on display that hadn't seen a hint of a watering can. So when we went into Homebase, almost as a last resort without travelling to a garden centre, I was delightfully surprised to find their real house plants were healthy and had been well cared for. A very pretty and delightfully smelling plant (sorry it was for a raffle prize costing a reasonable £11 and i didnt bother with its name ' just liked it). I couldn't have been the only one who liked it as it was one of the first raffle prizes to have been chosen. So thank you Homebase.

There's nothing really wrong with this shop but it seems a bit dingy and has (for years) the feel of somewhere that might be closing soon. Seems to be a big variety of stock though they did not have what we wanted on the day we visited.

They lie about stock for click and collect orders.Went in store to collect what i ordered and they handed me a random item. The best they could do was offer a refund - not order the item in or provide a replacement.Look at other reviews - this isn't a rare occurence. They put your collect label on a random item instead of informing you it's out of stock - time wasters.

There was an issue with an online order whereby the wrong product was put aside. My mum questioned it when she went to collect it & she got brushed off with the usual ‘well that’s what YOU ordered’ attitude. They didn’t check after she questioned it & she had to go back to her order confirmation for them to listen. Granted there are older people who make these mistakes online but seems the younger Homebase staff also couldn’t tell the difference between a tester size & 750ml. Just own your mistakes & apologise to people

Ample parking. Helpful and knowledgeable floor staff. Pretty surly till operators. Not the best impression as you're leaving the store.

Went today to buy a fan. Huge stack of boxed fans on a crate with a display one on top priced at £35. Get to the till and it's £45. When I asked why they say £35 is for the smaller (out of stock) version. The rude floor manager (Nick) tells me they are clearly priced. The actual price is a small 3cm label on the bottom of the crate they are stacked on that you have to crouch to see. When I tell him it's misleading he doesn't even apologise but instead his response is if you wanna buy it
