Had fish n chips went to get a beer next door, left my son in charge of chips, when I came back , I saw a white teradactul eating my sausage chips & curry sauce. Without spilling a drop I aimed a drop kick to the tramp with wings.Fair play to the owner he replaced yeh sausage n chips.

The staff were rude. They didn’t give us tab water and made us to buy it from outside. One of the worst pub in Brighton.

Watch out for the mature lady with blonde hair. Just went out back to use the loo and she screamed at me and another customer for opening the door to the loo, when i looked at her in shock you can see she had bulging eyes. Do not think she has any business working in customer service. Like why not leave a sign saying closed or something? The younger gentleman and lady who served me at the tills were very friendly and efficient, so the two stars are for them and ketchup was like Vinegar. Food was a let down , bland, soggy, boney. Only saving grace were the chips which were cooked to perfection.

Recently visited here and I am very displeased with a lot of things about this place.First, it was really dirty and clearly not cleaned properly. You had to purchase something (a drink, for example) to be able to use the toilets or pay 1 pound. Basically for one beer you were only allowed to use the toilet once which is ridiculous. Despite this policy and the 1 pound charge for the toilet, it was really dirty and smelled awful in there. Like not effort whatsoever to use the fee to clean the room. I have seen bars that serve a whole beach with their toilets which have cleaner washrooms.Secondly, the bar would not give us tap water and they made us purchase two bottles from outside. We were an almost 20-person group of people which brought great benefit to their empty place, by the way.The pricing was way off, but I was not shocked since it is located in the beach. However, that was until I got a gin and tonic (a drink that you cannot mess up) in a really small glass, for seven pounds. It tasted like waste tap water which was left in a plastic bottle for several days under the sun.And the worst, they asked us to leave after an hour of sitting in there, ordering drinks! Most of us were done with our first drinks, and would probably order another round since we were too tired to go to another place, but I guess they would not allow us a five-minute break between rounds. The funny part is the whole place was EMPTY and there were plenty of seats, so they did not even need to kick us out!Overall, worst pub/bar experience in Brighton and one of the worst in the UK. I would give zero stars if I could, but I guess I can give them one for having wifi.

If I could give -5 stars I would!! Lady at the bar with blonde hair had a terrible attitude. Myself and my friends have a lovely day out in Brighton only to be ruined by her. She needs to learn customer service skills!! Get rid!! We all had sun stroke and asked us to fill up OUR bottles with tap water, which is very much legal!! They cannot deny us tap water!! We then asked for a cup (which I happily offered to pay for) and she slammed the cup on the bar and exclaimed “this is not a free bar you know”, and then gave us the cup EMPTY. Fish and chips were okay, not worth £10 though. Complained to the manager, but reading all the other reviews it seems she is getting away with this foul behaviour.

Food was cold and tasteless.Way too expensive for the quality and the amount of food

Blonde woman at the bar was extremely rude to me and my friends. Clearly every other review is complaining about her so something definitely needs to be done. Terrible attitude, angrily staring at us and very impolite. Every licensed establishment serving alcohol is legally obliged to provide customers with tap water so clearly the customer service and management are not serious about their business. Ridiculous

Really good food, fast service and friendly staff. Best fish and chips in Brighton for me.
