The food was very good as was the service but they charge more than most other local Indian Restaurants that do hold alcohol licences so they basically want their cake and eat it? A meal for 2 with one starter and 4 poppadoms was £75. As with a lot of restaurants since lockdown they add a service charge which I always find irritating. It is my decision whether the service warrants a tip or not.

7 of us went to Cardamom Bay and I have to say it was fabulous. The service was outstanding as was the food. Exceptionally friendly from the moment we walked in. The food was great and the tables and linen very clean. I only wish we had taken some photos of the food but we were too busy enjoying our food. Would recommend a visit when you next want great service and great food.

First time at the cardamom bay but can’t say i was very impressed. First thing which i thought was strange is that they don’t serve alcohol? What type of restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol? Ordered a curry dish but wasn’t what i expected, tasted strange and just wasn’t up to my standard, also EXTREMELY overpriced, for 3 people food came to a total of £118. Imagine how much it would be for just you and someone else. Absolutely staggering, we decided to split the bill because of how shocked we were and didn’t feel it was fair for one of us to pay. wouldn’t come recommended coming here and i definitely will not be again.

Delicious authentic Indian food. Great atmosphere. We had a lovely dinner there. One of the best Indian restaurant in the area. Highly recommended.

Visiting family nearby and read the reviews as was looking for a curry . The service was great , small but good menu . Prices good and when the food arrived the portions were fantastic and the food hot tasty and full of flavour . Kids loved there tikka . Keema nan was lovely. Well worth a visit if in the area

Love this Indian restaurant. Come here regularly. The food is fantastic and has very large portions at a good price. Mondays, they do a buffet, which is exceptionally good value. The staff are very polite and friendly. Highly recommended

A first encounter of eating here was pleasent, they had dishes on the menu that that are not on other menus in this area, but have had them before in other areas close to London. The food was nice nothing special. The don't sell alcohol which was fine for us. I asked for a can of 7up as that was on display behind their bar, and got a pint of lemonade. Not what I was expecting but thought nothing of it. It wasn't until we got the bill for two meals we were gobsmacked £76. We didn't find out until we left that there was a £6 service charge added. This is wrong, if I think the service has been good I will leave a tip. The main meals are all over £15, if you have poppadoms you pay for the pickles! We don't pay these prices for Indian food normally, with an alcohol drink included. A general price for 2 people is roughly around £52. This place is over priced, we won't be going back again.

I ordered from here for the first time and it came a little late which was fine as I can appreciate they’re busy. However the chicken was completely raw in one of their curries. I called to speak to a manager and the person who answered said they’d ring straight back. They didn’t ring and I rang back and eventually they asked for my card details to give a partial refund just for that curry. The refund has not come through. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want salmonella.

Great service and attentive staff. Food was the best I've ever had. Great value for money. Potion size Great for the price, had to bring some home. On holiday from Cambridge.
