Lovely food, nice relaxed atmosphere, I couldn't ask for much more. The portions were good sizes too. The wait staff were friendly and polite- would definitely come again!

Lanterns is somewhere that doesn’t immediately draw your attention from the street, but I’m glad we discovered this place. It’s Greek menu combined with restaurant favourites is a great mix of food that will please everyone. I went Camembert, Mixed Kebab and Banana Fritters. All of which were tasty, though I’d say the Camembert jam underneath probably would be better substituted with chutney and a tiny bit of salad on the side. Admittedly I would have liked a little more meat to rice ratio with the main too. The service was decent, some happy looking waitresses who were always quick to tend to us. We were near the grill area which got borderline too hot for one of the lads and he had to go outside, though he was wearing a jumper (and he never informed the staff). Another minor point is the seating which has lost its leather covering which devalued the place, which I wouldn’t particularly care about but the bill was slightly steep. Overall though I was happy with the food and service, there’s a couple of minor things need addressed so 4 stars for me.

To anyone on a national express stop over... Being 2 minutes away from the coach station this resteraunt is an absolute gem! Food arrives fast, and is exceptional! Lovely waitresses, all round good vibes and packed on a Tuesday night! Price is right too, what more can you ask for?

Really friendly staff and a busy atmosphere. My main was however quite dry. The garlic mushroom starter was decent but let down by the kebab main.Could have been an off day or perhaps a poor choice, your mileage may vary.

The food here was absolutely delicious. Very big portions. The waiters/waitresses were okay, they smiled, only when serving. Service within the whole restaurant felt very rushed, but the food standard was impeccable. Very small restaurant, felt like a tight squeeze. All in all, still very lovely.

Visited Lanterns last night and was so pleased we did. We had a lovely booth, which was really comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the lamb kebab which I would recommend, it was so tasty and tender. Lovely rice and Greek salad with it. My son (20) had the fries loaded with meatballs, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely atmosphere and service too. A real gem, we look forward to visiting again.

Met here for lunch with 3 friends on a Sat afternoon. Lovely service, great menu choice and reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend. Didn't feel rushed at all and we were there almost 3 hours.

Popped by last night, Lanterns were very busy but managed to squeeze us in as a walk in.Service was fantastic, in fact our lemonade didn’t have any syrup in it and it was zero issue or fuss to get us a replacement.Food was beautiful. Presentation was very good, the flavours were amazing, and the prices were very reasonable.

Lanterns Restaurant
We are in Plymouth for one night only looking at Uni's with our son. Decided to eat here and really impressed. Really good choice and very tasty. We had the 2 course for £21 and 3 course for £25. Food great and staff really attentive, nice decor. Can't fault it in any way.
