Steven Hale Watch Restoration & Servicing - Workshop

After a nightmare experience with a ‘big name’ watch repair shop in central London, I was cautious to leave my Omega with anyone as it is very sentimental to me.When I visited the SHWR workshop to discuss the repair (which I was kindly reassured meant no commitment), not only was everyone there professional and clearly passionate about watches, they were friendly and patient, and I immediately felt happy to leave my watch with them (I was even educated about my particular model by one of the gentlemen there who collects Omegas).From that first visit in mid-August, it took SHWR less than a month to repair my Omega, with a full service included in the price. Through to the moment I picked it up from them today, everyone at SHWR has made this experience reassuring and enjoyable.I will be returning regularly for services and any future repairs, and I look forward to it.

Having been unable to identify any proficient watch repair expertise in the south of the country, it was Watches of Switzerland (Oxford), after themselves (and their specialist watch department) being unable to repair my Tudor Submariner, that suggested Steven Hale Watch Restoration. Some six months later, as scheduled, I have collected the watch: it looks like new and is working perfectly. After the estimate and specification of parts required, I was kept informed all the way through the process of repair and refurbishment, and consulted regarding any additional cost. From the moment I handed over the watch I felt confident in the professional, unhurried and thorough approach that was evidently being taken, and in the experienced advice that was patiently offered throughout by my liaison link. Steven Hale did a fantastic, repair and refurbishment job on my Rolex Explorer II 16570. I had damaged the bezel; there was a chip in the sapphire crystal; and the watch needed a good service as well as a polish. They did all of this including full restoration of the bezel and replacement of the sapphire crystal (all at an outstanding price that I don't think could be matched). I was stunned when I picked up the watch, it was as new even though it was manufactured in the year 2000.I will be entrusting SHWR with all future servicing, repairs and restoration on my watches.

Excellent service from Steven Hale Watchmakers.I originally contacted Rolex in St James Square, London, as I needed a service and restoration on my Father’s vintage 1952 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Chronometer.One of the specialist Rolex specialist service team, mentioned that they would not be able to restore or service the watch, as the parts were scarce and due to the watch being vintage, recommended me on to Steven Hale Watchmakers.I am so pleased that I took advice from Rolex London, as Steven Hale has restored and serviced the watch to perfection.New jewels , polished and serviced , plus a new watch crystal, has had this watch looking amazing and performing with great accuracy, only losing approximately less than 1 second a day .I have since given my whole collection of watches to Steven Hale for polishing and servicing .Everything was discussed in great detail and clear estimates of what each job would cost given, along with invaluable advice .I am delighted that I was recommended to Steven Hale, from Rolex direct , and wouldn’t now use or trust anyone else with my watches.I would be more than happy to recommend in turn to anyone who wants a superb service on their prestige watch , whether it be Rolex or any watch of quality.Thank you Steve for a superb service .
