One of the best places to eat that I've been in a long time. The food was fantastic with a wide choice of specials, there was a nice range of beers on tap, good music and a very traditional pub feel about it. Would definitely recommended.

The food was okay, but rice was uncooked, but the owner told us when we complained that it was cold and uncooked. She stated that it was a special crispy rice and that it is how it should be. I am Asian and have been cooking rice for 40 years, Perhaps I would have a better idea of how rice should be cooked, having cooked many many types of rice in those many years. This said the calves' liver was wonderful and well prepared.

Lovely meal and a good selection of beers. Staff were very friendly and efficient in a great atmosphere. I would certainly visit again.

Bob and his super team were fantastic hosts for our rugby club RWC celebration. The food is excellent and plenty of real ales to keep the lads more than happy. Brilliant. NURFC Old Boys will be back to our new ‘clubhouse’

A model of best practice for a country pub. Friendly locals and staff with genuine smiles. Top quality food at standard pricing with a good menu range to suit all within a proper 'pub' environment with plentiful space and good facilities. Three visits thus far but very likely to become our local even though we drive past other pubs to get there. Strongly recommended! .. ps thanks for the mint and apple sauce!

Food was yummy and staff are lovely. The food portions are huge, the sweet and sour chicken wings and chilli prawns are the star of the show. Delicious!We had fish and chips and the lasagne for the main, really good sized meal. Lovely outdoor seating area in the front, really happy we stumbled across this lovely pub. The only downside I think the staff need a little more training on drinks on offer and pricing, this being said the staff are super lovely and welcoming and this didn’t dampen our experience

Made to feel extremely welcome as was our first visit on holiday, Clare looked after us and our dog who got served his own ham and bowl of water. Our food was excellent and lots of it, well recommended if you are in the area. Love atmosphere with everyone very friendly. We also went back for a Sunday roast, again not disappointed and well looked after by Clare.

It's taken us 18 months to come here, we only live 5 minutes away. This is a true country pub with lots of regular customers. The food is really good quality and good value. We had the 5 for £30 tapas deal and were very happy with out choices. Pretty much everything was homemade and big portions - very good value! I look forward to returning to try more food and get to know the staff a little bit more.
