New owners trying to rebuild the reputation of a pub let down by previous owners. Visited on a quiet Monday evening as we were passing through on the canal.Food was good and service was quick.Thanks

We visited in October on the day the establishment changed hands, which is relevant because it was their excuse for everything; not one meal arrived as ordered - they didn’t know their own menu, none of the meals came at the same time, when taken back to the kitchen completely different meals from what was ordered came back. When we complained, we were met with a very aggressive ‘manager’ who then told us to leave - extremely rude, absolute amateurs and very poor run of the mill food. Our neighbouring table had very similar experiences and we repeatedly heard the manager saying sorry to multiple customers around the restaurant! Never again!

Ordered a burger and a medium rare steak with halloumi fingers. The steak and burger were extremely over cooked(see photos) and halloumi fingers tasted like card board. When asked how the meal was we gave honest feedback to which the waiter said he will tell the chef and all we got was an apology. Love pub in a lovely location and the staff are lovely but the food quality is very poor.

Meal with family, the Food was served quickly, but no chips with the lasagna and it was a very strong cheese, so the kids didn't enjoy that, the ultimate burger was great and pie was OK, as was the gammon. Lovely spot and great staff.

Lovely family friendly pub with very pleasant staff, both landlady & landlord very friendly can not do enough for you, as I am in a wheel chair and they were brilliant and made me feel welcome

Able to look out on the canal locks while having lunch with friends. Food was excellent, fresh and delicious. Service was very good and we were well looked after. We found out when leaving that it was under new management. Wish them every success.

Went visit this pub today on the off chance as a drive past. They were very welcoming and served food which is a win! As I was hungry. Situated in a very nice spot. Right next too the canal. Shane and sam were very pleasant and helpful with accommodating my requests parking my camper van for free on their car park. Highly recommended. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Under staffed, poor food quality, not fresh.I visited on a Friday 1st July at 6pm with my wife and 2 kids. Long queue and wait at the bar to order. Only 1 person serving at the bar so I stood at there for 20 minutes waiting to order food and drinks.Sat back down to wait. The food took half an hour to arrive. Kids meals were dry. Burger was dry amd cold. The chicken was so dry that was thrown on top of the pasta dish. He salad wasn't fresh. Burger served with chunky chips although it said fries on the menu. I asked and was told there were no fries left but I wasn't told beforehand when ordering. No tomato on my Burger so I had to ask a staff member for it.The food here isn't fresh at all. It's clearly frozen reheated food and the taste reflects that but the price does not.The ice cream was the best bit at the end.I think I will just go to Burger King or McDonalds next time as at least there I will know what to expect for a third of the price...
