The Old Prebendal House
I am an Exercise Practitioner and have been working at The Old Prebendal House (teaching weekly groups with the residents) for over 10 years. I have worked in many homes throughout my career but have never come across a home quite like The Old Prebendal. It is such a pleasure to visit this beautiful home as there is so much support from all the staff, many of whom have worked there for years. It’s so lovely to have that continuity.I teach my weekly class in the hobby room where all sorts of activities take place from arts and crafts to planting flowers. So much thought goes into the activities on offer. Fiona, the Activities Manager, puts so much effort and planning into providing relevant and meaningful hobbies for the residents to partake in. It ensures there is a fun and vibrant community for all the residents to participate in. I really just wanted to say how much I appreciate the opportunity to be part of such a great team. Thank you The Old Prebendal and all the staff for your continued support of my weekly classes…X

My father-in-law has been at The Old Prebendal since before COVID and lock down. He has been extremely well looked after and all his needs taken care of. Staff are excellent and always cheerful and pleasant. The food is superb and freshly cooked daily and plenty of it. I would highly recommend this care home.

The Old Prebendal House is a very professionally run care home. The staff are all very caring and friendly. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and a high standard. The food is very good also.My mother stayed there recovering from an operation for 3 months before returning home. She was very well looked after and I would definitely recommend it.

The Old Prebendal House
My Mum stayed at Old Prebendal House for respite after an eye operation. Her wellbeing always seemed to be top priority, we had an instance in the first 2 days of stay where she was delusional and hallucinating and due to my geographical distance she was calling me at all hours and so I was making a lot of calls back - any staff member that answered the phone knew what was going on with my Mum and gave me confidence that she was in safe hands and was being attended to as much as she needed. Everyone seemed to be aware of people's individual needs and would offer a listening ear or advice whenever needed - this goes for all the team, not just nursing. I always felt her wellbeing was of utmost importance to the team.Care guidance from hospital was followed really well and she was shown dignity and modesty when being washed, bathed etc which she herself said she felt comfortable with, even when she had a male assistant, she could not speak highly enough of him (Daniel)Every staff member I came into contact with was exceptional from Director of Care, Receptionist, Catering, Nursing, Housekeeping. The ones that I had more to deal with than others were Val, Jackie, Oana, Shelby, Sophia, Claudia + Husband, Daniel, Debbie. Staff were always about, I don’t think I ever saw the lounge without a member of the care team there and they were always engaging with the residents. They seemed to have an amazing camaraderie and support for each other.Val (Director of Care) was an amazing support, from the time I first made the enquiry, to the personal welcome and time she spent with my Mum. She was always up to speed with what had happened when she wasn't in the building, she had a wonderful presence. Shelby, who I think was team leader was also outstanding and such a wonderful support to me when Mum's confusion hit in which was scary as it was literally overnight, I had not experienced it before and Shelby was so kind, calm but also knew exactly what to do to make my Mum feel listened to and safe. She actually taught me some valuable lessons in caring. She never faltered in her care or attention even when she had done a long day and was nearing the end of her shift, she was still amazing. The setting is delightful and so much attention taken to make it feel like a home from home - one thing that stood out is nowhere had that nursing home" smell that is usually so obvious but of course understood

A beautiful home full of heart where you will receive the warmest of welcomes. Each part of the home shares and presents a part of history however is still draped with class. My visit awarded me a first class experience. The over all customer experience flows across all levels of the home and is kept at a high standard. I would highly recommend a visit.

The Old Prebendal House
Incredible home in every aspect. The surroundings are that of a well manicured top Cotswold hotel, the medical care is genuine and outstanding, ALL the staff are without fault, the activities are stimulating and varied, the cleanliness perfect without any stereotypical smells, the Covid measures effective and adhered to. In short, I can not think of anywhere I'd rather my father be.

The Old Prebendal House
I have visited people who are resident in The Old Prebendal and attended some events which, I have to say, were well planned and very enjoyable. The home is in a lovely setting close to the Cotswolds and has beautiful and well kept gardens with ample parking. The residents have places inside and outside (weather permitting) to lounge in and/or take part in the activities arranged for them. They appeared very happy to live in such a caring atmosphere. The rooms that I saw looked very comfortable, homely, with nice furnishings and recently decorated. The staff were very caring, compassionate both to the residents and visitors.
