Horrendous treatment of clients! Especially vulnerable people. Not me but someone else who's van I've seen. So bad! Shocking

I trusted and employed Gavin Jones and gave him my life’s savings to both source and convert a van in 2021. He quite proudly displays it as part of his advertising.He is a ROGUE TRADER!He held my van to ransom for a final payment that I refused to give him for 18 months.I refused to give him the final payment because he lacks the required skills to convert a van to even a reasonable standard and did not have the capacity or ability to rectify any of the problems.All conversions operate out of his garage at his house which isn’t adequately equipped. Something I was unaware of at the beginning of the project.The van was eventually dumped on a road in Middlesborough and then seized by the DVLA. Whilst a legal dispute was in process and the van was supposedly ‘in storage’. In all Gavin took £25,000 and demanded another £7,000.2013 Ford Transit……..Some examples of problems…- All internal panelling was of poor quality and fitted without glue, much of it was randomly fitted and screwed in all over the place. Some screws protruded at angles, screws were not counter sunk or filled. ALL carpentry work was extremely poorly done, cut unevenly, not finished (not sanded or filled). None of the kitchen doors were cut square. One of them was out 10mm from top to bottom!- £400 gas 3 way fridge couldn’t be used or fitted as Gavin did not allow adequate space for ventilation. (He lied for 6 weeks saying a part was on its way). There was of course be no way the gas fridge could be fitted without refitting the entire kitchen…..- Vents that’s were fitted to side of van were not fitted properly and so leaked on electrics..- fresh water tank inlet was cut into the side of the van but fitted lower than water tank. So couldn’t be filled without leaking and water poured out whilst driving.- ALL plumbing pipe work was incorrectly fitted, no pipe inserts were fitted to any of the pipes which meant they would disconnect easily, leak and flood the van.- £800 water heater didn’t work at all. As none of the plumbing was fitted correctly.- Internal bolts were incorrectly fitted and so didn’t work.-oak parquet flooring had large gaps which dirt could fill.- black trim was badly cut,- Stove chimney cut unevenlyEtc….. the list goes on.In the end getting the van back and having all the locks replaced including the dead bolts removed which were also incorrectly fitted cost £2000.The van cost me my entire life’s savings, my health and my relationship.At no point did Gavin accept any responsibility. Or offer an apology. In fact he complained about MY response to his appalling bodge job on the day of hand over. (Over 6 weeks later than stipulated in our agreement, this was a strict deadline as I had to be out of my house). Effectively making me homeless.There were so many other problems with the build. Pictures can be provided upon request.Gavin knew after several discussions how important the project was to me and that I have PTSD and all the reasons I wanted a van conversion.He said he would “Wow me”.I am only just starting to recover from the impact of losing such a huge amount of money to the fiasco Gavin created, with his complete incompetence and an ego that prevented him from resolving any of the issues with the van.Once able I will be seeking full compensation. Currently my own health does not permit me that privilege.I would dearly love Gavin Jones, of UK Glampervan, based in Middlesborough, to respond.

Horrible horrible person and service would give 0 stars if I could. Do not use them!!!!
