I requested a christening on a Saturday and was told quite simply no, due to church policy. Highly disappointing (I was married here), would Jesus have shared this policy? I think not. If the church expects to survive in the modern era they need to be flexible and embrace modern ways or will forever be left in the past.

A beautiful church at the heart of its community. We visited for a concert, the church brought people from miles around in celebration of Christmas and music. A glass of wine, a cushion on the pews and wonderful acoustics made it a memorable evening. There is only one loo so best take that into account before having that second glass …

We attended a wonderful concert at the church in February 2018. Despite the fact that the weather was extremely cold the atmosphere was wonderful, performers and audience mixing afterwards. It is a lovely church but if you are visiting in the winter I would recommend wearing an overcoat. There is plenty of parking and access to the building is good.
