Old Court House Car Park

These are old East Grinstead buildings here of the very early seventies. Including the Old Court House and the old Police Station building long out of use. Including a fire example of old style traditional Victorian designed police cells. Which I was lucky enough as a young Sackville School pupil here to have the tour around by the great PC Haffenden. Then one of our premier long serving EG police beat officers. A Police Constable who handled all of the school liaison activities. I hear the buildings are up for sale now. Hopefully will be made a hotel where one could stay in the old style cells overnight. As that's a popular novelty attraction elsewhere in the UK. And successful in saving old buildings police cells similar elsewhere.
