B&Q Nottingham - Riverside

Good selection of lights, very helpful staff, explaining to me the comparable brightness of the LED bulbs to watts. Went back today after my initial visit last Saturday to look and today to buy a light fitting, was very ably guided by Eddie and bought just what I wanted .

30-minute drive here to be refused service!!! I was ID for a tin of radiator paint, which I provided, but the lady on the counter still wouldn't serve me because she wanted to see my Girlfriends ID aswell. We're both over 30, the paint was for me and not her so I don't see the need in her to even have to show ID. I had a few other items in the trolley aswell but I no longer wished to pay for them due to this ridiculous service and left them at the till and went to screwfix instead. Lucky enough, they were cheaper and didn't ask for ID for a tin of paint

The quality of pretty much everything they sell is subpar. Their tiles have outdated, old designs and colours, and the quality is atrocious. The plants and trees are very over-priced; you could buy them for half of the price at a garden centre. They have also had the same designs on the lights that they sell for the last 5 years. Time for an update?The timber is found in the separate warehouse, to the side of the main building. The roof in this area constantly leaks in many places. Hence, I really would not recommend that you buy any wood from B&Q, as it is damp and has mould growing on it! Even the member of staff didn't want to touch the timber.In terms of customer service, it is nearly impossible to find a member of staff on the shop floor, should you require any assistance. Staff members at the tills are also quite unapproachable.It is a shame, as I would like to support a British business. But, you can purchase items of better quality at a better price elsewhere, so it really is not worth going out of my way to shop here. There is a lot they have to improve on.

This place is one star pending at the best. Came with my partner to pick a new sink and tap for kitchen. Approached member of staff to ask for advise as the one we were looking for wasn’t on shelve. He refused to help sending us off to help desk on other side of warehouse. At the checkout, woman couldn’t be less interested serving customers if she tried. All the self checkout tills closed for no apparent reason, one unnoticeably opened, while she was faffing about without a basic manners after we made payment decided to spot check us against thief. Disgraceful behaviour

This is a large B and Q store situated inside the Riverside retail park.There are loads of parking at this B and Q, which is handy if, like me, you often have to tow a large plant trailer.The store itself has everything you would expect from a large B and Q.I often use the company for paints as they have a huge selection and the ability to mix your own colours.I often find b and q can be a little pricer than other builders merchants, but that can be the price of convenience.

Been waiting since 18th September for a showroom manager to contact me.Major issue with unsafe shower screen.Contacted B&Q direct numerous times/ emails and phone calls and I've had no call back !!Very very poor after sale customer service.

We bought only 2 witches here. Staff are very friendly and helpful to found. A very large and managed warehouse. Almost all you needed is there and never had bad experience.

I rarely find people who are great at their job and also find time to provide great customer service consistently and on numerous occasions.Jenny is a rare gem and I can't recommend her enough.I always enjoy shopping here.

buy princes fan at the beginning was works but not even blow cold air.. hot air..put ice box there and still blow hot air..after few days stop works and stop blow air the airand have to wait 40 mins to switch back again..was going and return today to Nottingham riverside and I received very bad help, they don't care about me at allthey said this is works like this.. have to wait 40 mins the cool down and after switch back again.. they don't know what they talking about.. just wasting time..they ask me to clean the air filter and going back the next day..so i come home lets clean the air filter and i was release there is the cable is melted together and this is the issue!!!this is not works like this to works only 20 mins and then need to wait 40 mins to switch back again.. the lady said manager is it working like this !!! so looks like she is an engineer not a manager !!i will take it back tomorrow and need my money back !!! don't wasting time and don't judge people because i am not English.. don't need to judge... racism..
