The Royal Barn Kirkby Lonsdale
Great large space with plenty of cask and keg options. They looked great, sadly it was 10.30 am and I had fifty miles left to ride. The coffee was amazing however and the home made cheese scone. The staff were really friendly and helpful and a real effort was been made to be eco sustainable. Impressive, I'll come right back at a decent beer suping hour next time.

Lovely pub in a very picturesque small town on the southeast edge of the Lake District. Great interior, good furniture, great atmosphere and a wide and cracking range of beers and ciders. Beer brewed on site. Outstanding.

We were a group of four and all really enjoyed the atmosphere, the choice of beers and hot drinks. The paddles of ale are a great idea. The staff were friendly and helpful. There isn’t much seating relative to the size of the barn. Don’t bother getting a pie, the pastry was soggy, (microwaved ?) and very expensive. This took the shine off an otherwise good visit.

Called in on a few occasions when passing through Kirkby Lonsdale and always had good beer and service. Unfortunately today was a different story, I asked for my pint topping as the head on it was touching the circular brewery logo on the glass, I was sharply told that is how it's supposed to be served" and "would I like it with no head on at all?". I calmly told the girl I had over 40 years experience in hospitality and the head doesn't constitute part of the pint

Always a favourite when we visit KL. Often we find that brewery / beer focussed places have other options as an afterthought, but we particularly love that here seems to do everything well, so non-beer drinkers can really enjoy it too.On our latest visit, we called in late morning for coffee, and enjoyed an excellent cappuccino. I then tried the Devil's Bridge IPA (keg), which is now my preferred KL Brewery offering. My wife ordered a pinot blush rose wine (white zinfandel offered as another option).It was quiet when we first arrived but got very busy later in our visit, as we stayed for a couple of hours. Throughout our visit, the atmosphere was good and staff were friendly and efficient. We didn't eat but we saw food delivered to other tables and it looked very good.
