Rainbow Pre-school Shirley

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star, my additional needs two year old was due to start this preschool last week, they changed her hours without informing me, and also said they can only due 6 hours a week due to her additional needs not knowing if they will be able to up it. They of course get funding for each child for 15 hours. They didn't have much kind to say about her on pick up, and we advised this probably isn't going to work. We moved her preschool and today, the manager Sally gets on the phone to me to explain they need 2 weeks notice when a child leaves preschool because of the funding. She never even started properly, just a one hour settle in session. They went on to say that it's different to us to inform them and give us notice about changes and not them, sally had an abrupt attitude and come across extremely argumentative. She wanted to know the information about my little ones next preschool, who were suitable and super friendly to my daughter. Sally appeared to only focus on funding and made us aware that they will be claiming for over another week, which prevents my little one starting preschool until the week after next. It's clear they care about money and numbers, but made it very clear my daughter could not get her full entitlement due to additional needs. If your child requires extra support, steer clear of this preschool. The manager is extremely rude and slightly argumentative. They have three weeks funding for the one hour they have her and is making it difficult to move her. Will be pursuing through the council to let them know my child is no longer there. And is waiting to start fresh as a lovely, friendly setting, more than welcoming to my daughter.

My son is on week 3 at Rainbow 2 preschool and the staff are truly amazing and helpful and everything they do. So glad my son has got his preschool place at Rainbow. Many Thanks Pina x
