Salvation Hair

Lucy did an amazing job in my hair! I wasn’t too sure if I wanted a trim or cut in a little fringe but she listened to everything I wanted and gave me amazing guidance, we ended up going for the fringe and I love love love my hair, thank you so much Lucy! Never left the hairdressers so happy before!

Went to salvation hair yesterday for a half head of highlights on my already bleached blonde hair as my roots had come through and I’m here for uni. My stylist Lucy did an amazing job on blending with my previous shade of blonde as well as being so friendly, it was such a relaxing environment. so happy with the results and will definitely be returning.

This hair salon is ok, I have been here three times and my hair was cut usually to how I asked, although once cut off too much. They use Aveda products and the prices are more reasonable compared to a lot of other city centre salons, however they don't have special treatments like the keratin treatment, olaplex or k18 if you have very damaged hair. The salon is very clean, staff are friendly, and they have an easy online booking service. I think for a simple cut and colour it is a good salon, although it does not fulfill my criteria to be my regular salon due to the lack of the keratin and professional straightening treatments and olaplex.

First visit to Salon, was really happy with the experience and results received from Georgina. Will definitely be returning

Georgina did a magical job with my hair, thank you so much! Even gave me some styling and product tips, showing me how she did each step. Never felt rushed even though my appointment overran! Such a good price and excellent service from a junior stylist, 10/10 would recommend x

Walked in after I botched my hair cutting it super short. I didn't think it was salvageable but Tom, the co-owner of the shop had aslot available and did an absolute amazing job in giving me the best haircut. He was so lovely and made me feel so comfortable that I'm gonna go there again whenever I need a haircut. Best 40 pounds I have spent!

Tom at Salvation has cut my hair for over 20 years, giving good advice and the best haircuts I’ve ever had. The cut looks good for weeks after. I always feel comfortable in the salon with lovely, friendly staff.

Sorry to say this as I've had multiple great cuts at Salvation Hair in the past (via a 'top stylist') but not happy at all with the cut I had this weekend. I specifically asked for my hair to be below my shoulders and the stylist agreed - we even both indicated where this length would be on me - and, despite this, it's sitting well above my shoulders and the ends are flicking out awkwardly. The layers also look and feel like they've been haphazardly hacked, rather than skilfully cut and blended in. I struggle to see how this is the outcome after discussing at great length with the stylist what I was looking for and her seemingly fully understanding and echoing what I was saying. I'm especially annoyed that my hair is so clearly floating above my shoulders, despite me explaining that I wanted it below my shoulders! I even had two specific reference pics which showed exactly what I wanted. A few unfortunate months (at least) are ahead of growing this out and I'm sad to say that I wouldn't trust Salvation Hair with my hair again.
