A must during the Winter months open Dec and Jan , a truly magical experience, especially at night with the Royal pavilion in the background so Instagramable . Cost reasonable at £18 per person check for any family deals too .The café attached serves mediocre hot drinks nothing special £11 for 2 cold mince pies and warm coffee.

The worst staff and customer service! We bought an online ticket which was scanned by one of the staff and when checking for student ID, they scanned the ticket for the second time and they wouldn't let us in! The ticket was for a 17:00 session and we arrived around 25 minutes early. During this time we were going back and forth with staff members and they kept saying that someone had already scanned our ticket! Unbelievable! We wanted to have a nice time and be early so that everything ran smoothly. But no! We paid for a ticket and weren't allowed in. They were blaming us for their mistake. Wasted our time and were not helping at all. The manager had to get involved and allowed us to go in, we went into the session late.

The worst experience ever!I went with my family and my 3 year old one, just about 5 mins after we paid our session started to rain. Kindly went back to the till and asked if we could cancel the session and be refunded due to the weather. Staff was not helpful at all, a men came out from the staff room when heard the conversation and explained there is no refund policy. Took a look around and couldn’t see that note anywhere around. Looking like I had to check their website for the T&C policies.

Fantastic fun and well organised. Short period of skating (40 minutes) for cost. And very busy. A little too greedy perhaps on charges ?

Ice rink in itself is fairly big and well maintained but some of the staff are acting discriminatory! My child has got a life threatening disability and we need to have all the medical equipment including needles, ready made solutions, pens for injections and receiver connected via bluetooth to medical device in my child's skin. That needs to be within reach. I was told that I cannot go on the ice rink with a bag (15cm on 15cm) on my back with all of the mentioned items and that I would have to put them into my pockets!! I can't as that wouldn't be safe for anyone !! It's discrimination at its best !! It would have spoilt the day not only for us but for a child whose birthday it was and whom invited my child to celebrate the birthday by going to the ice rink. Luckily her family stepped in and held onto everything while standing by the rink. Connection was of course interrupted and we haven't had my child's readings, which is crucial for her especially when doing anything physical, as it's exactly at that time that she requires close monitoring, but at least I would have been able to treat her in situ, if anything would have happened as the bag with all the equipment was close enough. The said paramedic on site wouldn't have a clue what to do, as my child's condition is complex and needs professional training and not a paramedic ( with all the respect for the paramedic)! Clearly, if my child is able to do rock climbing, sailing, windsurfing, skiing and drumming, having her condition, one would assume that ice skating shouldn't be an issue.

Paid an extortionate price for two adults and an under 12, then had to pay an extra £7 to use the stabilising penguin on top of the entry fee.The main rink was basically empty because it was a 10am session, however after they took our money the stewards guided us to a tiny little rink where we had to skate because our child required a penguin. This was not communicated before the entry fee was taken. We then got told off for taking a photo of our son’s first ever experience on ice, for health and safety reasons, which is understandable. However on the tiny mini children’s rink which is wrapped around the back, there is no real viewing platform to take photos from the side. The steward could have offered to take a photo, but instead was very authoritative and abrupt.Just a warning to anyone that is taking a small one and requires a penguin to help teach the skating, it is entirely not worth it. The rink is tiny and doesn’t have the best views. The stewards were not helpful and accommodating but simply enforcing their rules as if we were criminals when we were trying to make memories.I feel that the cost for two adults and a child to use the tiny rink is complete robbery. This should certainly be a subsidised price considering you have to pay for the penguin anyway.Other than that, the rink was freshly cut and maintained. Plenty of seating in the changing area. A bit annoying that the locker costs £1 and keeps the coin.I can imagine this is best suited for people who want a romantic Christmas skate at night, not really for taking a young one for an experience.I grew up in rinks and have never been around such strict stewards, one who could barely skate and was possibly more of a danger than me taking a photo of my son with my phone on the ice, but hey, rules are rules.I won’t be going back.Update: the response from you solidifies the fact how you don’t care about the customer satisfaction. You are implying that my behaviour was unsuitable, however the approach from your steward was not “softly spoken” and it is captured on video.Look at all of the negative reviews that you have and tell me that other people don’t feel the same way about your attitude towards paying customers. It’s absolutely pathetic, rude and unwarranted. You always seem to defend yourself and your staff rather than holding any accountability for making people’s experiences miserable.Profit driven nonsense. Also, if the penguins are £5 to hire why were we charged £7?You rely on people reading all of this information online, but you have no information at the venue, or staff to explain if you are just walking by and decide to pop in. Maybe it would be a good idea to have a leaflet, some signage or staff members explain what they are actually purchasing and what part of the rink they can use before payment is taken.Another suggestion is to create a larger viewing platform / area so that families can spectate and film the smaller rink, when it is highly likely to be a special moment for the family and small child.

Fun, festive skating experience! Pavilion was beautifully lit as the sun set. Very busy on Saturday, but well organised. Lockers available, No phones allowed on the ice. Staff very attentive to check all OK when my son slipped over! Bar on site. Entry via gardens off Malborough Place.

Absolutely rubbish. How can a business are allowed to Scam people. No refund and exchange. This shouldn’t be allowed. Look at the weather how can you skate if someone get hurt are the business owners will be reliable for damage or this is also in the website. What a disappointment.
