Sloane Observation Tower

Fantastic day out! We got there as the doors opened and left just 30 minutes before closure. Lots of birds to see even though many of them were still safely tucked away because of the bird flu break out, it was good to see disinfectant mats at the entrances and exits to keep the other birds safe. I’ve seen some reviews on here about the restaurant which are quite recent, and would agree that the choices were limited, and the service was really slow. As a result we left the main restaurant and found somewhere else further in where we got hot food and a drink which were spot on. The highlight of the day was the safari, which was hosted by a very knowledgeable man called David, for the additional small fee per person it was by far worth every penny. I’d recommend Slimbridge to one and all, disabled access is good and there’s a huge play area for children.
