Cornerways Guest House

A very beautiful and stylish Bed & Breakfast. This is a quiet and comfortable and absolutely spotless Guesthouse. I was made very welcome and the breakfast is amazing. One of the best places I have stayed, in over 40 years of travelling around the whole of the UK. I have bee in thousands of gorgeous hotels and guesthouses around the UK, but Cornerways Bed & Breakfast Guesthouse in Carlisle, stands out a mile. If you want a beautiful nights sleep, in a lovely comfortable bed, in peaceful bliss conditions, the please call this 5 Star Guesthouse, and have a great stay in a very stylish, and clean heavenly Guesthouse. *****. This place needs avoiding. The woman doesn't like the truth. She will start making up lies about you if you dare to leave a bad review. Strange she claimed I was drunk and woke everyone up. I don't drink. Then she said we were last to check out. We actually left during breakfast without saying goodbye. She said she didn't greet us so who was the woman who answered the door on the Friday at 3pm??? If you claim to have cctv of an incident make sure you have the correct person. Oh and if you do leave a review make sure she doesn't have your phone number so she can send you abusive texts and calls. The recurring theme to her reviews is she was in hospital or she says you arrived late and she has cctv. To be honest I'd rather not visit Carlisle again if she is the type of individual there. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast included at a reasonable overall price.

Only a couple of blocks from Carlisle town center and the train station. Cornerways Guest House is an original period building with the rooms furnished as such. Even so everything is neat and comfortable. Breakfast includes a buffet of cold choices or an option of hot choices to order. Owners are present, attentive and very friendly.

Stayed here for one night in a single room with shared bathrooms. Everything was really clean and nice. It was hot, as there was a heatwave, but not much anyone can do about that.

We have a lovely stay at Cornerways. Adele is a warm friendly welcoming host. Kind hearted and helpful and the room was perfect. We had a quiet stay in our Hadrians Wall walk. Breakfast was great and a really convenient location for the centre of Carlisle. Thanks Adele for looking after us both Gary and Sarah.

Highly recommend. Our room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The location was extremely convenient for walking around Carlisle. Our only complaint was that with the windows open (we were there in June) the road noise was very bad all night. If you need absolute quiet to sleep I would recommend you look elsewhere.

Perfect for an early start if your a commuting uni student, it's a couple of minutes away on foot, also the rooms are nice beds are comfy and breakfast was lovely

Please do not stay here, the lady is rude and was drunk on arrival and thought it would be funny to kick guest's and say she used to be a kick boxing instructor! Unfortunately due to it being graduation there wasn't any other free accommodation or would have walked out straight away!!

What a gem of a guesthouse .After a long day walking and driving I was met by the lovely host Adele who was so welcoming and helpful nothing was too much bother .My room was cosy spotlessly clean with every amenity you could need including tea coffee making facilities iron large screen TV and the fantastic powerful shower which was so nice after a long cold day walking in the lakes.Breakfast the next morning was a hearty full English perfectly cooked to order also available were juices croissants coffee tea etc.I'm already looking forward to staying again and my only regret is that I didn't find this lovely place earlier .
