Big B&B near central Derry. Beautiful stone built house, on three floors. Public dining room & sitting room are lovely, with traditional furniture and ornaments. Bedrooms (at the back) are fine. Staggeringly, we found we could park outside the front door ! Very friendly welcome by the owners and their staff.This is a place I would strongly recommend to anyone staying while in Derry – so much more character than a standard hotel – staying here is as valuable as many of the other attractions of the City.

Bed and breakfast único y con história! La casa era de un antiguo mercader irlandés y en ella todavía se preservan objectos de la época. Su decoración es burguesa de principios de siglo, el servicio es agradable y atento ( olvidamos una cosa en el hostal y nos la enviaron por correo) y su ubicación es centríca y de fácil acceso a la ciudad.

This was one of our favorite B&B's during our 3 week stay in Ireland. So quaint and so historic, with a great sitting room for visiting. I love the huge dining room table for breakfast so that you interact more with other guests. The rooms are small, as are the bathrooms, but what can you expect in a retrofitted building that is as old as Canada's government? The staff are so very friendly, and the gardens are beautiful (we were sorry the weather was not conducive to sitting out in them). The owners are very personable and helpful, and the staff do their utmost to make your stay feel like home. It is an easy walk into town yet a quiet location. Do stay here if you can! They have another location nearby, Saddler's, if this one is full.

Left stranded after our reservation was cancelled. I admit I didn't reply with my card details when asked, but I forgot as everywhere else I booked for this trip seems to be happy to work on trust. The owners were quite abrupt over the phone when challenged and claimed they had sent a reminder email, but I didn't receive anything. We were completely bu&&ered as there were no rooms available in Derry at all at such short notice. It is unfair to treat people this way, and in my opinion better to stand the risk of having a no show than projecting such a poor view of your city on to trustworthy travellers.
