I bought 7 small tins of Humbrol paint from House of Hobbies.3 were okay but 4 were rusty, see picture below. They repeated told me that the paint was okay and that “The exterior is merely a vessel to hold the product”.Citizens Advice said that there is a minimum quality that is expected for goods to be sold and the rusty tins are not acceptable.I have returned the order but have only had a partial refund. I was also told by Citizens Advice that House of Hobbies should also refund the return postage.So far they haven’t and no longer respond to my emails.This is the worst customer service I have ever had from any supplier.

I was on holiday in the area and googled hobby shop" because I needed some tamiya spray paint. I discovered House of Hobbies and went in for a look. They carry the full range of Tamiya sprays but the one I wanted wasn't on the shelf. I asked the shop assistant if they had any so she searched through an order which had just came in and thankfully found the one I wanted. She was extremely friendly and helpful and I would totally recommend this shop to anyone with hobby interests."

I Ordered a model from House of Hobbies which was cheaper than the e-bay rivals. As it stated in stock, so placed the order which arrived safely and well packaged within the week. Great looking model for size and excellent service from House of Hobbies. Great communication with accurate informtion on both availability, progress and delivery shipment. Would certainly recommend and will use again . Thank you.

Brilliant service with a smile, and backed up by intimate knowledge of the hobbies technicalities. Good prices, and quality items for sale.My new Gaugemaster track cleaning van is a gem, and saves me hrs trying to clean a complex layout by hand, not to mention the damage to lineside items.I will be back. :)

First visit today and liked the feel of a proper hobby/model shop which you don't get shopping online, also the paint was cheaper than buying online. Martin the owner was very friendly and had lots of time to talk. Will return again.

Never had a problem with the house of hobbies - despite some reviews saying other things to the negative -( I don't see how you can bring a former venture into it ? No bearings as far as im concerned - you don't know the circumstances! ) Most people seem to leave a negative review just because they don't read the website properly ! If it says in stock -it's in the shop -available means it's ordered in ! Not rocket science - give the man a chance plz -shops are becoming harder to find these days. Worth a look if in the area !

Only sent my goods after I had chased them up , no explanation for delay , no apologies , total lack of communication .The large amount of poor reviews shows a total lack of customer care and highlights them as a company to avoid .
