Had a wonderful time here this morning walking with Beanie and my partner walked with Blue. Jay and her team were great hosts and really informative but the Alpacas really stole the show. Even some of the lady alpacas resorted to sunbathing and the walking boys loved a shower at the end of their walk.A great way to enjoy a relaxing few hours and get up close and personal to one of the most characteristic animals on the planet.Thank you Jay and Team.

We had a lovely few hours with the Alpacas and the friendly, knowledgeable staff at Winwick farm. The Alpacas have a gentle nature, and are very nosey, curious animals. It was soon apparent each has their own unique personality. The staff obviously care deeply for their animals and even with a herd of over 70 knew each individual Alpaca and they had plenty of interesting and amusing stories to tell about a good number of them. There was a lot of cute baby Alpacas in the paddocks playing and running around with each other and coming up close to have a look at us. We were particularly fortunate to meet a new-born that had made her appearance a few hours before we arrived and was already up on her feet. There was also a beautiful dark spotted young alpaca, another recent arrival and apparently very rare to be born with such markings. We were told many interesting facts about Alpaca’s such as they like to be stroked on their necks only and they don’t spit the way Lamas do. We were then introduced to the Alpaca we were going to walk. My Alpaca was call Bourbon because of his lovely chocolate coat. We got to feed them and bond with them before the walk. The Alpacas were well behaved although some were a little bit naughty and most were greedy stopping to eat grass at every opportunity. There was plenty of time to take photos and the staff are very happy to take photos for you. After the walk, we fed our alpaca one more time before they were re-penned, we were then served refreshments and shown some alpaca products. There was quite a large friendly group of people the day we went and it was very apparent everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would definitely recommend alpaca walking at Winwick.

I contacted in February to book two group visits in October for a charity. I was told the company was shut for winter and would be open in May. After still not hearing anything, I contacted in July. I was told that it is not possible to book that far in advance and was also told there would be no availability for any group bookings this year. If I would have been told there were no bookings in February I could have gone to a different company rather than waiting.I have given 3 stars rather than 1 because when I contacted them they were polite and replied quickly.

Thank you again for a brilliant morning!Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. The staff are extremely helpful and informative (and make great tea!).All the alpacas are so well looked after, you can instantly tell how much care and effort goes into keeping them so!We were given two very cute (and slightly greedy) alpacas named Bentley & Bourbon to take for a walk. We were shown how to harness them and given tips/safety advice before setting off on our walk. The walk itself was just the right length with great photo opportunities as you go around (something else the staff are happy to help with) and plenty of chances for the alpacas to munch some grass or nearby hedges!Once we had got back to the paddock we were given a talk on alpacas and allowed to feed them again. This was followed by an introduction to some of the smallest and cutest members of the group, name dropping Colin in here, with more chances for fuss and photos before sitting down for a cup of tea and biscuits while learning about alpaca wool.I can't wait to go back and have already purchased a walk for my parents as well as organising a return trip in a months time. I would highly recommend this activity to anybody wishing to get out for a morning, try something different or just wanting to meet lots of cute animals!Thank you again!
