Amazing place, staff are so friendly and accomodating! Phil took away any worries I had (as a non girly girl!) and helped me find my perfect dress, and I can't wait to pick it up next weekend after alterations by the gorgeous Dee! I couldn't recommend highly enough!

Before I talk about my experience I want to say I did not end up going with a dress from this designer. I reached out about the Mae dress specifically. I live in the US and because of covid was not able to attend trunk shows as they didn’t happen. Phil and Vikki did everything possible to make sure I was able to have the dress of my dreams. They had a sample in black sent to me from someone else who had it nearby (that itself was a miracle). The dress is beautiful. It’s gorgeous and well-made and looked beautiful on and made me feel so so pretty. It just ended up not making me feel like a bride. It may have been the color that I just couldn’t envision myself in the white but at the end of the day a dress is a commitment and I just didn’t have that feeling that maybe I would have had in person. At the end of the day I just could not commit to a dress that MAY have been THE DRESS if it were in a different color. That was no fault of anyone’s. I I still have the dress in my house until I can get it back and open the garment bag every now and then to look at it. It honestly makes me sad to not just own it I cannot express how amazing it is. They’re going to have to pry it away from me. Even though I know I didn’t feel like a bride, I still wish it did! What probably makes me the most sad though is that I just wanted to support such a friendly business. I want to give them my business. If covid wasn’t a thing I would have honestly flown to the UK to try their dresses on in person. I recommend this designer to EVERYONE. Phil and Vikki are such lovely people. They’re so accommodating and friendly. I cannot say enough good things. Even my mother who originally thought buying a dress that price sight unseen was nuts, was so sad that we couldn’t support them. I could rave about them all day. Please give them a try!

I loved my experience with Mooshki. My dress was exactly what I'd imagined and it fit perfectly on the first try. I loved working with Phil to design the dress and then Nana Mooshki for my fitting. I would definitely recommend HoM for your wedding and occasion wear.

The team at House of Mooshki is a dream to work with. From start to finish, they were responsive to my ideas, questions and requests. As someone who is relatively shy about reaching out to people, I was at first nervous about reaching out to House of Mooshki to book a consultation in NYC. I’ve heard so many horror stories from brides about the wedding dress shopping experience, I didn’t know how it would be to meet the design team outside of their shop. And it could not have gone better. I met them at Westhouse, (where they stay when they travel to NYC) and it was an absolute dream. I was greeted by Vicki and Phil, and they could not have been more lovely and charming. There was no condescension, no put downs, no passive aggressive comments. Just love and support. I was pretty set on the dress I loved, but had one big design addition to the dress. And while I later learned that this was a massive design challenge, they said they would make it happen. Little did I know that they would bend over backwards, literally scouring the world to find the perfect lace to add to my dress. I immediately knew I wanted to work with them on the dress. They were very communicative through the design process, and we were able to set up a final fitting for their visit the following year (this past April). I never dreamed of my wedding day, never thought about what I would wear if I ever got married. But this team, made dreams come true. They made a dress more true to me than I could ever imagine. I can’t tell you how pleased I am that I found them, and that we worked together to design my dress. I would do it all again in a second.

My friend, 'the bride,' ordered her dress from House of Mooshki. We all went to NYC for a wknd so she could meet the team in a hotel suite, see the dresses (tbh, she picked them because of a specific dress), and get fitted. This was April 6th. They said the timeline was tighter than most, but not an issue. She ordered her dress, a sash (really a flat bow belt), and they discussed their original fascinators. They said they would include, foc, an extra strip of fabric per my request (tennis shoe laces for destination wedding). She ordered a petticoat (or two), etc. Payment is by guaranteed funds, only (red flag, but this is a custom boutique in the UK).The meeting went well and the ladies were lovely. Afterwards though, the bride had issues getting them to send sample fascinators via email (in NYC, she saw one she loved but it was already claimed).Fast forward to July 5th when the dress was finally delivered. The Bride leaves at the end of July, so 2-3 weeks to do a stateside fitting and any final alterations. The Bride took the box to a Premier Tailor in the DC area, tried the dress on, and cried. The dress is about 3 sizes too small, will not close in the back by INCHES, and was poorly finished (including uneven and unfinished hems). The Tailor said there was simply no way anything could be done, esp in only 2.5 weeks and without any matching fabric. Note: the spare fabric they sent for laces did not come from the material on the dress and the material on the dress was so unique it could not be seamlessly added to.The site has glowing reviews from people in the UK who have access to their store. The only real negative review found was on google map (3 stars, but the context should be read) and a third party site, both who live stateside. After finally getting a response from Mooshki, the bride was told (1) the interior measurements are what matters and those are correct; (2) that she has clearly gained weight in the past 3 months (no, she is not pregnant) (this was later summarized as bloat and not necessarily weight gain); and (3) that 3 weeks is a long time for a tailor to fix it and she'll be fine. After this response, she was, essentially, ghosted (*see below).A friend has subsequently tried to post the issue on their FB page but they have disabled the 'review' section. The comment remains under visitor comments which are harder to find (this is true with most businesses). The same friend went to Twitter, tagging the company, but the comment is not viewable. (Edit to add, on 7/13 this same friend commented on their upcoming trunk show event for NYC, but on 7/14 the comment is not viewable.)Overseas brides, be cautious. While this company has good and solid reviews in the UK, the two US reviews I found discussed an amazing visit with them to pick the dress and a horrible experience receiving the dress and wearing the dress. This Bride's experience is not one I would wish on others.---7/14/2018 *the bride's last contact from a team member with no authority was two days before the original review was posted. Despite prior assurances that the boss 'would be back tomorrow' the bride was not contacted by the boss until Saturday, a day after this review was posted.7/14/2018 UPDATE: a person of authority contacted the bride and noted the belt was not in the final order (which was completed after the trip) but could be sent, if requested. This person also stated they would be receiving more of this specific fabric and can forward some on if the DC seamstress needs it (if express sent, this would give the tailor apx 5 days). They also indicated that they sent fascinator samples, but none were liked by the bride. This offer has hesitantly raised my review to two stars. But, to the best of my knowledge, there has been no offer to assist in compensating the tailor, if the tailor can take on the dress.

I was there just to have alterations. She unsown the elastic on the sleeve to show me an option. Saw I was concerned so told me don't worry I sow them back in place before next time. She didn't do that. Now I have a little elastic showing in several of my pictures. I noticed in the car to the church but the wasn't time to fix it. Before a reception we managed to fix it but still I am very disappointed. I also got my dress a bit dirty on the inside, but still there is just a lack of care.

Amazing! Just amazing! I always knew I wanted a tea dress... but I found normal bridal shops didn’t hold a wide variety of short dresses. Then I found HOM - from our first visit; my Mam said that if someone couldn’t find a wedding dress here, whether it be long or short, then they wouldn’t find a dress anywhere!Phil was brilliant! He was honest and was on the same page as me from the start! My dress fit perfectly when it arrived, and then Dee went out of her way to make me a beautiful headpiece to match my dress! It all fit perfectly and my dress was most definitely the talk of the day! Thank you so much, Phil, Dee and the rest of the team at HOM. Xxx

The dress itself was absolutely fabulous - exactly what I wanted, and something not offered by the 3 other shops I went to. Picking it out and ordering it was a dream. I am still telling the story to people. It was really special. Shipping was a nightmare. They sent it to the wrong name and address and didn't send me a sash I had ordered in time for the wedding - despite me following up repeatedly. When I did get what they had sent me, it wasn't the color we had discussed. If you're in the UK or US on the west coast where they have a brick and mortar, I would totally recommend them. Otherwise, it's very stressful and they're pretty unresponsive about issues unrelated to actually making the dress.
