Hollow Fosse Clay Shoot

Arrived during a biblical downpour, I questioned my sanity. Others from my party arrived, and the rain eased. AJ looked after our group. I was concerned about the kickback from the guns as I had a previous shoulder injury, but using the ladies' gun proved just fine. There is a small sign on entering the venue, but you need to travel down a long track to get away from the buildings, there is enough parking there. A good fun time was had by all.

Had a great time!Patrick is a fantastic instructor for first time shooters, he is highly skilled and also friendly. The site had lots of different shooting stands, we got to shoot from 5 stands which made the experience diverse and fun.

The best clay ground I’ve been to! Great relaxed atmosphere, amazing setting and everybody is really friendly. Had a fair bit of coaching from Pat who is a top bloke and really knows his stuff. The traps are changed regularly which keeps things interesting and everything is priced more than fairly. Would recommend this place to anyone!

We had a such a fun and friendly experience with Patrick and his team. Most of us had never shot before which didn’t matter. They guided us through and change the clays so we could all have a go and hit some targets. Such a memorable day.

I have been coming to Hollow Fosse for just over a year now and have yet to have a bad experience there. I started here as a total newbie and had coaching from Patrick. Which was hugely helpful and kick started my interest in clay pigeon shooting. Since then I’ve had numerous coaching sessions and regularly turn up to go around the sporting course and have a go at Pro sport. The targets are always varied and moved regularly which is great. Stops things becoming repetitive. The traps are well maintained meaning I’ve yet to have one fail. It’s a friendly place, the regulars are all willing to chat or give tips if you want them. There’s no snobbery or the pretentiousness I’ve experienced at other grounds. It has a great little clubhouse/shed with free tea or coffee. I can’t say enough good things about this clay shoot. Go have a go, you won’t regret it! Photos are from a recent black powder try out day which was great!

Patrick kindly hosted us on the bank holiday weekend to shoot a few clays. Patrick made the experience so much more memorable with his top tier coaching skills as well as his delightful sense of humour.10/10 would recommend and will definitely be returning soon.

I my was my fist time shooting and I had a great time! There were multiple different stations to shoot from which we kept things interesting and Patrick was super helpful and entertaining throughout. I would definitely recommend!

First time shooting with a large group of mixed experience and abilities. Patrick and Ben were great coaches and were easy to get along with and there were a range of different stations to keep it interesting and fun!
