Great pub in a lovely village with great food good service and fine wines - Latest visit was even better as the standard was just as high and food even greater - RECOMMENDED.

Visited the pub by chance as it was dog friendly. The staff were super friendly and even served food just after the kitchen was due to close. The main course was generous in size and great tasting. We had stake and ale pie and liver and bacon. They gave the dog a fuss and checked in regularly. Would recommend to all.

Great Sunday Roast and generous portions on the children's menu. We had a great time and the pub was buzzing for a busy Sunday lunch service but the staff confident and relaxed and everything was served in good time. Look forward to my next visit!

Food was acceptable i suppose for frozen deepfried food menu, no fresh meat fish or poultry on the menu whats so ever, completely empty on a friday evening.Would never recommend this place. When i asked for the cheque, i paid cash and left it in the wallet, then we left, the landlady proceeded to follow us out and and accuse us of not paying clearly without checking the wallet first. So unprofessional and embarrassing for her.

Best steak pie ever. We all enjoyed our meals. Atmosphere friendly and peaceful,would definitely recommend. Very nice garden too

We stumbled across this place after a day out visiting Flatford Mill, we wanted somewhere that was dog friendly, this fitted the bill. We had a few drinks there and had a quick look at the menu, very extensive, and not overpriced. The next evening we booked in for a meal, and were not disappointed, the food was well worth waiting for, decent sized portion, staff were very pleased and made my dogs feel very welcome. Next time we are in the area would definitely go back again.
