I have ordered 3 times this month and never had a issue, customer service was amazing tonight. Lovely food and great delivery times. Will order more often

AVOID! Terrible service, they would not refund us for a missing dish, no free prawn crackers as advertised, basically called me a liar! Unbelievably rude on the phone when I called to let them know, the food was tasteless too but I didn’t even mention that, I was too shocked at how they spoke to me!! Don’t waste your money…go elsewhere!

Amazing customer service;ordered through deliveroo, used wrong address, called deliveroo no hope, called the takeway and they changed it for me no issues. Seriously delicious food, great prices and arrived earlier than expected!! 10/10.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Food was over an hour late. Cucumber for the shredded duck was slimy and inedible. There was hair in the food and it was ultimately not nice at all. We called to chase our order twice and then tried to call to complain about the food to find that no one was answering. Never again.

not the best to be honest. Food was 40 minutes early, but that could of been just eats fault. Food was dried out,as though it had been sitting for ages in a heater. The shredded meat tasted just like pork scratchings,same texture and crunch as well. The taste wasn't too bad on most of it...rice and curry sauce were good. I won't recommend it from this visit.

Partner ordered a chicken curry. Received what clearly wasn’t chicken curry. Called up and spoke to the chef who lied and said he’d sent out chicken curry and wouldn’t accept responsibility for what had been sent out. Prawns, chicken and what looks like pork. So rude and disgusting treatment of customers. Appalling service and a health risk had my partner suffered from a shell fish allergy.

Wont be ordering from here again! Our last order, after over an hour, not turned up. Phoned them, & got a barrel of abuse from this bloke on the other end, accusing us that we didn't answer the door, so the order was returned to the restaurant! Told him politely that no one has tried to deliver, as we can see when someone turns up going past the living room window. Still, they insisted that a delivery was attempted, via a load of abuse down the phone, & that it was our fault! Eventually, we received our order, redelivered, but the customer service received was appalling & uncalled for! Dunno if Golden Place has had a change of management or something, but wont be ordering from these cowboys again! Avoid!

This is my own experience, working for this place doing deliveries, and looking at the reviews on the food and the service. I’m not surprised at peoples bad reviews because of how they speak and treat to their staff as well. I worked at this company for a month and that was enough to make me leave.I got screamed at inside of my OWN CAR for bringing a family member with me to do deliveries, for some reason, they have a massive issue with bringing someone with you to do deliveries and I wasn’t all that confident on places, so I brought someone with me just in case. And also when it’s dark and you’re young female, it’s kind of a little bit scary to be doing deliveries.As the owner of this place, decided to scream inside the car at me, she also decided to yank my door so hard open that she actually ripped the seal on my door, and then went on to slam my door shut. I understand there was a communication issue because she didn’t speak much English which Im not degrading, but for her to come inside of MY car and scream in my face and my family members face to them break the seal on my door, and then slammed my door shut. I just think this Chinese takeaway is so unprofessional and have no respect for their customers or their staff.They also continued to repeatedly overcharge one of the elderly regular customers I had that I was delivering to in plymstock, and they were charging him £4 for Plymstock, even though he was inside of the miles radius for cheaper delivery.I also noticed Customers, were also spending over the amount for a bag of FREE bag of prawn crackers and not receiving them.

Gave us food they had delivered to another address 2 hours earlier and pretended it was fresh. Food was cold. Lied to us about this but luckily all captured on ring doorbell and neighbors reached out via social media that it had been with them for hours. Untrustworthy - you just can't be sure what they deliver is fresh from the restaurant after this.. please don't use delivery!
