Watergate Bay car park

Loved this beach. It was howling a gale but the sun did show itself in the evening. Great place for taking the dog. The beach was almost empty!!!!

The free 16:00 to 21:00 has now gone. It is £2 from 18:00 to 21:00. Shame car park was empty when we were there.

This is a very useful carpark near the Watergate Bay beach. I think it is super cheap compared to the other choices what you have around, three-fifty for a day. You need to walk a little bit to reach the beach, but the view is stunning, so I think it worth it. Moreover, on the end of the car park, there is a surf rental place, which is a bit cheaper than the other one nearby.

One of our favourite beaches, car park right next to the beach does get full quickly but there is another just across the road. Payment when you leave, machine doesn't always register personalised number plates, so remember when you arrived!

The pay and display machines weren't working and there's no phone signal in the bay to ring the number to pay.FREE PARKING! Excellent.

We used the gravel pay and display car park and spaces were limited. We found parking but it was on a slope. The car park offers payment via Just Park app (location 8430), however the signal was bad (02) so ended up using the coin machine.Note that's its free parking between 16:00 to 09:00There are two other car park close by1. Tarmac car park closer to the beach - this has limited spaces2. A bit further up the hill

The car park is paid for when you are ready to leave . Beware , when we used it three weeks ago , the cash/ card machines were both not working . Similarly the phone signal was non existent , so we couldn’t pay . We ended up with a parking fine £100 and the parking company on appeal said the machines were all working fine .So don’t use this car park unless you see someone already paying . Very sharp practice .

Big car park with easy access. A little expensive - £4.40 (I think) for 2 hours.

Parked here today and paid using contactless payment. I received a receipt from the machine to confirm I had paid, I displayed it in my car and thought nothing more of it and went to enjoy the beach for the day.I've got back and found the payment on my card was declined for some reason.I've emailed the council to notify them that this must be a problem with the machine, ideally not something I should have to deal with while on holiday.I did all that was asked of me; I presented my card to pay, I displayed my given ticket on my dashboard, and then left within the time frame that I paid.
