Tobermory Distillery Visitor Centre

Wonderful little distillery on the north of the Isle of Mull, lots of history and situated in one of the most beautiful populated areas of the highland isles.Didn’t attend the tour as it was fully booked but heard from others that it was very good, great little visitor shop with a selection of branded merchandise and various whiskies from Tobermory and Ledaig.Well worth visiting if you are on the island.

We visited for a Premium tasting. The guide was great but the premium whisky was a selection of generic young age bottles. There wasn't a single interesting whisky on show.I think our group paid around £300 in total and the only whisky worth discussing was a bottle that one of our group bought separately. This is the first distillery I have visited and not bought a bottle at. Tobermory Distillery; give your staff better whisky to work with.

The gin tasting was fantastic! The guides from the distillery were so friendly and helpful, they really knew their stuff! Each of the gins were unique and it was great to delve into how they’re crafted and learn about the ingredients and inspiration behind them while sampling.So many laughs with a great bunch of people!Lovely wee shop too!

Visited as a group of 3 on a rainy day where whisky was most welcome. We very much enjoyed our tour and the visit overall. The guide Kirsty was knowledgeable and friendly. She was full of facts about the distillery and whisky in general. Enjoyed the tasting and we did not feel rushed as we have at some of other distillery tours elsewhere that we've done so would happily recommended to others if visiting Tobermory.

Visited here recently with my daughter - we aren't whisky lovers - but the tour was fantastic. The guide, Josephine knew everything there was to know about the history of the distillery - she was awesome. We had a great time, and a couple of drams at the end - recommend this if you're ever in Tobermory

Took the premium tour with Allister as our tour guide today and it was absolutely brilliant. Not only was he very friendly, informative and insightful, he was extremely generous with his time during the tour and the drams of delicious whisky during the blind tasting he set up for us to try. Very generous portions of some very high-quality spirits were had. It's easy to see how passionate and genuine his love of whisky and teaching others about the distillery and whisky making is. I can't recommend this tour enough. Brilliant! Very well done, mate! Jake & Katie

Lovely tour round the distillery today with the excellent Lynn! Captivating tour even entertaining my less than impressed better half (she's fed up of distillery tours)! Only missing a star for the tasting room being quite wee and dark and no on site toilets. Thankfully availability at the harbour and brilliant whisky/chat otherwise. Will definitely make a return when I'm next on Mull and try the warehouse 1 tasting!
