One of the best heritage lines you can visit! We go every time we're in the area. Park and ride from Norden where all day parking is £3.50. Today we paid £56 for three adults, 1 child (5-15yrs old) and 1 under 5 (free). The trip takes around 25 minutes to Swanage. You can get a straight return that allows you to get off at Corfe Castle too, or a Freedom of the Line ticket, so you can get on and off as many times as you like, up and down, all day (£5 extra than the straight return). Please note that dogs need a ticket and can't travel for free. Limited catering services at the moment due to Covid, but snacks and drinks available. Highly recommended: the best views from one of the best heritage lines!

Loved the steam train ride from Swanage to Norden and back. Many trains carriages and old equipment dotted along the line. This is well worth doing. There is a museum at Corfe so much to see hear and also smell family of 4 ticket is 45 pound worth every penny.

It wasn't our plan to visit the railway station. We were on our way to visit the castle and the path took us through the station. With a nine-year-old in tow and a magnificent steam train pulling into the station just as we arrived we had a stark choice. Either suffer a meltdown, or agree to take a train. The conductor was well attired in authentic conductor dress, we boarded what can only be described at best as functional carriages. However, the beauty is in the scenery and the lovely rhythmic pace of the locomotive as it chuff-chuffs and toot-toots its way to Swanage.Would recommend, but plan ahead. We had no time explore Swanage, and that limited our enjoyment a little.

End of the line for the Norden - Swanage Railway. £15 adult return. There's a car park nearby (£3.50 all day) so perfect for those wanting to take a well maintained steam train to Swanage then spend the day at the beach before taking the last train back. There's also a little well priced cafe (see pics for menu). If you found this helpful, consider giving it a like! (It helps me imagine I have friends)

Went on the Christmas lights steam train. Brilliant. Christmas songs in the carriage and lights, spaces between people. All the stations were lit up with displays and the trains lit up the countryside with changing spotlights. We'll done.

Great little find this tucked out the way. Great beach and pier. Nice high street with great choice of pubs, restaurants, cafe's and accommodation for visitors. It even has its own railway station!

Love it. Short trip from start to end but nice stops. Recommend to stop for cream tea in Corfe Castle. My trip was in a steam train and the carriages were classic really nice take care. Recommended to drive to Norden and start the rail trip from there to Swanage
