Tawstock Court

My wife and I got married at Tawstock in September this year. It was one of a number of venues we visited and straight away we fell in love in with it. We had such a great feeling about the venue itself and especially Laura and her team. In hindsight, we were absolutely right! All the way through the build up to the day, Laura was attentive to what we wanted and even if we requested something bespoke or unusual, nothing was too much trouble.The Wedding really was the best day of our lives and we have Laura & her team to thank for that. Everything across the whole weekend went exactly as we planned it. The venue looked perfect and all of our guests were just as impressed by it as we word. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and we had an amazing weekend. There are so many lovely rooms and spaces that we used across the weekend to have our night-before party, breakfasts and host different parts of the wedding day itself.It really is a special venue and we are so grateful to the whole team. We would absolutely recommend Tawstock Court and Laura to everyone, whatever the event. Thank you so much!!

After much research during lockdown in London, we only needed to visit one venue in Devon - Tawstock Court. As soon as we looked around we knew it was the only venue we wanted to get married at! We were so impressed with how Laura and family continued to add new features to the house and grounds each time we visited.Laura and her team were so accommodating and really helped us create the wedding weekend of our dreams, as well and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day. Our reception for 92 people was just the right size for the venue. We were able to get married outside in front of the Tudor gatehouse, which made for stunning photos and a totally unique experience. We had chosen a spring wedding so we could get some photos in the bluebell woods and the photos here were breathtaking, Tawstock team made sure we knew how to find the best spot and had cut a path for us too.The extra features like the games room, courtyard with fairy lights and the comfy lounges were all well used too. The accommodation on site is stunning and beautifully finished, particularly the honeymoon suite which also made for the perfect wedding prep area. The shared kitchen / sofa areas are brilliant communal spaces eg for the night before as well. We cannot recommend Tawstock Court highly enough. Thank you!

My wife and I held our wedding reception at Tawstock Court in October. From our very first visit to the venue, Laura could not do enough for us to make sure we had the perfect day. Every idea we came up with was received with massive enthusiasm and Laura was as excited as us to see how things turned out! Special mention also to Vicky who managed on the day & provided design & styling, who also went above and beyond to make sure all our wildest dreams came to fruition and we didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day!The venue is beautiful and Laura and co have done an incredible job restoring and renovating the house to be the perfect wedding venue. The front rooms of the house were ideal for welcome drinks & Laura & the team were seamless in turning the rooms around between dinner, dancing and breakfast! It’s clear there’s still so much more being done behind the scenes and the latest additions of the clutterbuck cocktail bar and outdoor pizzeria are only adding to an already amazing venue!40 of our guests stayed in the accommodation on site for two nights. The rooms are all beautifully decorated, spotless and well equipped with TV’s, hair dryers, etc. The best part of the accommodation were the shared lounge & kitchen spaces, which meant the whole family could have dinner and drinks the night before the wedding together.All in all we can’t recommend Tawstock Court enough for a wedding or any event! We’re so excited to come back for a murder mystery evening next year and reminisce about our special day!

It's absolutely stunning!! The building and grounds are phenomenal! The staff are so friendly and welcoming! Gorgeous venue! Highly recommend!!!!

Tawstock Court was the first wedding venue that we visited and after visiting, no other venue could match up! Laura and her family who own and run the venue are all so welcoming and helpful, they make all of the organisation so much easier. On the day, Laura also made sure everything ran very smoothly and, with her team, helped to coordinate everything meaning that we could all just enjoy the day. All the guests remarked how helpful she was and we were made to feel like part of the family.The venue was stunning and gave the opportunity for a very scenic outdoor wedding, which we really enjoyed as did all of our guests. Both outside and inside the venue provide a stunning backdrop, providing a great backup option in case the weather is not so good. The space and layout inside mean that there are many options available for how people wish to spend their time. There is a fantastic cocktail bar, spacious bar area, lounge, study, refectory for a wedding breakfast and even a games room (which our guests loved)! There is also a lovely courtyard for a relaxed evening drink adjacent to the main bar and on-site accomodation available, making the short walk to bed at the end of the evening a very welcome bonus!I can not recommend Tawstock Court and Laura highly enough. We will just have to work out an excuse for having another celebration there as once does not feel like enough! Many thanks and lots of love to Laura and her team! xxx

We went to a murder mystery dinner at Tawstock Court and had a wonderful evening. The venue is a very impressive Georgian Manor House. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they serve an eclectic selection of cocktails.

I got married here 6 weeks ago! It was the best day of my life! The venue was amazing and perfect in every way.Laura and Vicky was both amazing and did everything possible to make the day perfect and run smooth!100% recommend, thank you so much x

Tawstock Court is quite simply an absolutely beautiful wedding venue! I love photographing weddings here, not just because it's a gorgeous venue but also because Laura and the team are so welcoming and helpful - they really go the extra mile! There are so many places for stunning photographs, you are spoilt for choice.

I went to this venue on the 20/05/2023 for my best friends wedding Hannah Phillips and Josh Phillips. The place is absolutely beautiful and is kept really well. The staff were so so friendly and made sure we were okay and helped us when we needed it. We were greeted with a smile every time too which is always lovely! One of the reception ladies was very very helpful. I think her name was Laura. She had great communication and made sure we had everything we needed so thank you so much to all the staff for your help and making it the best wedding!:)
