This was a great station for both arrival and departure, having well-sized platforms for trains running from or towards Skipton that stayed for a reasonable amount of time! The name signs are modernised throughout and the station has an old design, creating an intriguing feel. Rooftops making for proper shelter are well-designed too and navigation is easy, with clear signs. The entrance building is accessible and the bridge is a solid accessory, while departure boards were fully up-to-date and cleanliness had been maintained!

Nice and neat and well maintained railway station. we were quite exhausted after seven days of travelling since we landed at heathrow international airport.From Lancaster railway station we took the first class train to glasgow central. Train is very comfortable and spacious. It is getting chilly here up north. We will recuperate and gather back our strength to continue our journey.

Lovely little place to visit. They have a snack shop if you need anything before boarding the train. They are closest to Isle of Man . If you want to cross over to Ireland, Dublin might be your best bet.

Italian theme weekend at Lancaster last week, everything Italian including food and drink ,but only one motorcycle company???? the cars were at the castle with a fee to see them? otherwise good but not promoted well, no signs at the train station or on the streets where the public are.

The worst toilets in the United Kingdom quite possibly. Bad train station and passive aggressive guy telling us what bus to get on.
