Went to dance and listen to the band Paisley Circus. Space was very limited, first time for the band at this venue, and I don't think the management were aware of the bands large following.

Well, it has been a while since I had been here. What a difference a while makes, it has been brought into the 21st century and is all the better for it.The atmosphere and furnishings are bang on point at the moment. It still has the lovely pub (locals) feel to one side of the premises.Whilst the other side you can enjoy and much more comfy surrounding for a bit of a meal, or a quiet relaxed catch up with a friend. So whatever environment you are looking for it is always best in a 2 sided pub!

We had a great Sunday roast here. Food was excellent and the service was brilliant. I couldn't fault it

Waitress was lovely. Came with our family , 8 of us in total. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to scratch. Half of the plates had things missing, for example carrots, red cabbage and parsnips. Some plates had them, some didn't. And another table opposite us had the same issue. The roast potatoes were dry , like they were cooked hours before and hot held for too long. The Yorkshire pudding was over cooked. The meat was good but the food could of been a bit warmer. We did have a table booked in the future and we cancelled it, the barman didn't ask for any feedback as to why. We would want to try again, maybe if there was improvement and feedback worked on . As the restaurant is nice and so was the atmosphere and waitress who listened to our feedback just a shame the food wasn't great.

Really nice place to enjoy a relaxing meal.We chose from the light bites menu, but lots of different options are available.Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was very enjoyable, good portions and good value for money.Have booked to take relatives at the weekend.Highly recommended.

Excellent Christmas meal. Admittedly the meal was pre-ordered, but it arrived hot, and we were all served efficiently at the same time. No corners cut with meat quality.Real ale nearly on the turn. If not turning over ale quickly enough, then I'd suggest a keg craft ale might be the solution. The Mail Cart is slightly hampered by a dining room that feels a bit like a school canteen, but the proprieters have tried to soften it around the edges.

Went in during the lunch time, very quiet so can't really say much about the atmosphere. The food, I had the pie which was nice but I am sure it was a child's portion. It was expensive and thin come on if you are going to make a pie make it a thick one. My partner had the Lincolnshire burger which was very good and value for money. As we walked out we both said goodbye and none of the serving staff bothered to reply. Obviously you don't want people to come back?

Don’t bother ….we went for the bbq on Saturday night ….presentation should be spot on ….not in this case ….no sauce on the ribs and just six tiny lettuce leaves …what does it cost to give a customer a reasonable salad ????? 20/30 p at the most ….penny pinching ….we won’t go back.John Goode
