Jaan's Restaurant Bolton
Food was quite nice but portions small. Service dreadful. Only 2 of us on a Thursday evening but no one came to great us. Spent 10 mins waiting just for a menu. Lots of staff standing around. Poppadoms took ages and the chutneys were very small.Overall just left feeling incredibly under valued as customers and won’t be returning which is a shame as we’re local. Wish we’d have gone somewhere else.

During our family visit to this restaurant, we were captivated by its beautiful setup. The staff, exceptionally friendly and attentive to our needs, enhanced the overall experience. The true star, however, was the incredible food – a perfect embodiment of delicious cuisine. Our choice, the Tava for two, not only exceeded our portion expectations but also delivered a superior taste. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for an outstanding dining experience.

We had booked a table for two, when we arrived they were trying to find a table for us and I was wondering what was the point of booking a table? We had to wait 15 mins for one to be clean and ready.Anyways in terms of food, we ordered the samosa chaat as a starter, which was quite nice. We enjoyed it.We also ordered the tawa for 2 and bbq fish.The tawa was okay, nothing special as many of the reviews here state. The fish was great in taste but inside where the bones were, it looked raw.We ordered two passionfruit mojitos. Not going to lie, it was more like juice than a mojito. I wouldn’t call them mojitos. We told the restaurant we didn’t like them at all, they were kind enough to understand and remove them off our bill. Please at least learn how to make somewhat a decent mojito if you’re going to sell them.

Myeel served us and the Boss Waseem welcomed us with a big smile and great hospitality, food was just like before in his other place in Blackburn. Definitely will come again, I wish them all the best with his new business. They even use hmc meat & chicken.

Food was bang on. Service was really good. 5/5 for this service and food. Owner asked if everything was okay, we advised yes all was well for a table of 7. Owner even gave us some free extra food and some lollipops. Excellent and will come again soon! Really do recommend! Thank you Jaan’s!

The food was okay. Nothing special. The portion sizes are very small for the cost. They were very short staffed the Friday night we went as a party of 8. We received our food quite a long time after placing the order. Half the drink came about 10 minutes after the food, and the other half of the drinks came after we had finished the meal. The seating was a bit awkward. Shame the restaurant looks appealing, but the atmosphere wasn't great. Won't be returning.
