A nice walk out to the obelisk and theres a cache here for any geocachers! Walking past the lakes of the house, through trees, farmland and open fields. Seats dotted around offer a chance to sit and take in this estate. Its not a difficult walk and is a comfortable distance for the majority of people. Plenty else to do on this estate, visit the house, restaurant, grounds, gardens, or just spend time with the family on the open grass area in front of the house. An ideal location to meet with friends for a day.

We love Nostell Priory,go at least 3 times a week for exercise, wish they would open the garden area as that's my favourite place to walk, they say it's because of the children s play area, but why can't they just cordon that off?

As part of Nostel Priory the obelisk is ok, but Nostel and it's gardens and grounds get 5/5 for me

Very dingy and draughty. The only light comes from the doorway.

Grade 2 listed building, originally the gatehouse and housing the gatekeeper and his family. Fell into disrepair and was crumbling and dilapidated by the 1970's. In 2002, Heritage Lottery funding helped bring it back from the brink, to be the attractive parkland feature that it is again today. Pleasant, gentle stroll on good paths up to the Lodge.
