The Quirky Quarry
Great views, really relaxing. The Shepherds hut was really cosy. Great location for walking, and only a mile out of Middleton In Teasdale walkable to get to pub restaurants, so easy for High Force/Low Force as well. The breakfast was fantastic, Dave and Fiona were great hosts, very knowledgeable about local area, made us feel very welcome and relaxed.

We stayed in the garden room, it was clean, comfortable and warm. Beautiful views, luckily we had the weather to enjoy them. Breakfast was 5***** along with the perfect poached egg :) we would definitely recommend and return. Lovely friendly hosts to add to the visit..Thank you :)

Set in some of the most picturesque scenery in the UK, Quirky Quarry is the perfect home from home for any traveller or holidaymaker. Clean, comfortable & newly furnished rooms a fine end to a day. We congratulate Fi & Dave for their attention to detail with sincere thanks for an enjoyable stay

The Quirky Quarry
The location has outstanding views and is an excellent position from which to walk in The North Pennines. The bedroom decoration and feel is extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a superb breakfast cooked utilising local sausage, bacon and eggs laid on the premises. The hosts Dave and Fi made us very welcome. We highly recommend this B & B.

Such a wonderful place to stay. 8 of us in three rooms and a shepherds hut. Very clean and top notch. Very friendly owners who cooked a marvelous breakfast.Will be returning, just wish we'd booked for longer this time.

Fi and Dave are great hosts, friendly and helpful. We were going on a boat trip so Dave lent us his binoculars! We needed them to see the seals and birds. Not everyone would be that helpful. Locally sourced produce made breakfast fantastic, comfy beds, great views. Happy to recommend and will be back.Set just outside the quaint village of Middleton-in-teesdale, it's a brilliant place to stay for walking, exploring and getting away from it all, but close enough to visit the sites of Northumberland and the Dale's.Thanks for a lovely stay.

Amazing views. Dave and Fi are more than accommodating. Clean crisp rooms. Shepards hut is cute and cosy. Worth staying anytime of the year.

We were specifically looking for a dog friendly accommodation and this was listed as such. On our arrival at 21.30 on a Friday night before a bank holiday weekend we were told that they are not dog friendly. Very disappointedAnd now you want to charge us????????? This is ridiculous

Really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut at The Quirky Quarry! Friendly and helpful hosts. Warm, clean & comfortable hut to stay in with everything you need. Lovely location. Fantastic breakfast. Loved the private area (very useful when you have a dog) with a fire pit & BBQ. Will recommend.
