Put my car in for a platinum service. The staff are very friendly, approachable and did a splendid job getting my car clean (it was in a dire state). For £40 and 2 hours, the valet was exceptional.

I left my car at the North Shields Waves at 13:15 yesterday and was told it would be 1:30 minutes for wash and Gold clean as they were busy. I waited till 14:50 and the car still wasn’t ready, none of the interior glass had been cleaned and the roof and bonnet were still dirty in places. It took another 10minutes just to get the glass cleaned. There were only 3 staff working. Last time for me at this business

Went to this car wash and would never go back.When I arrived the car wash was advertised as being open for another hour, but I was asked if I could be back from my shop in 20 minutes so that the staff could go home early. Not a great start, but I didn't want to begrudge people going home early on a Saturday if I could help it, so I obliged. The fact that I had rushed around so they could go home early made me even more annoyed when I saw the state of the car.I just got a new car, and wanted to keep on top of the cleaning. It wasn't particularly dirty, but I thought I would treat myself and get it done properly. I asked for one of the valet options which was £14. The manager told me he did a special type of valet somewhere in between the £14 one I had chosen and the higher rate one (I think it was £25) for £20. He said that for this he did extra things like wiping down the dash, cleaning the handbrake etc. I decided to go for this option. I had to pay up front, but thought since it's Tescos it would be fine.When I saw the car however, I was absolutely appalled that they had charged me £20 for the worst car wash I have ever had. There were white marks (on the black car) from the bits of soap that had obviously dried there, there was some weird black sticky gunge all over the door of the boot (difficult to see due to the colour of the car, but when I went to put my shopping in I could feel it and then had to spend a considerable amount of time scraping it off), and to top it off - the inside had obviously been hastily vacuumed on the floor but nothing else had been done. There was a small white mark on the dash which had been there before - I could wipe it off with my finger so the extra" on top of the £14 valet had obviously not been done. I have some upholstery wipes in the car so I took one of those to the handbrake and it came away dirty

I've gone here since it opened, and while it is expensive I trust them and the service. Today I left my keys and did my shopping and came back to an apparently spanking clean car. Other half said at the time the car was scratched but i was trying to avoid any trouble and fobbed it off. Upon further inspection, I have deep scratches that were not there before. Like a stone has been picked up and dragged round the bonnet and I'm gutted. Thirty quid and my paintwork is ruined. This cannot be polished or T-cut out (believe me I've tried). Never. Again. Devastated and disappointed.
