Spots Dry Cleaners

I go to this place all the time for tailoring and alterations. They do a great job, very reasonable price and everyone who works their is friendly which is the main reason I keep coming back. There are quite a few places for tailoring in the area, but this is the first I've found that is friendly and offers the best service.

When I last took clothes to be cleaned at Spots, my nearly-new coat came back scuffed and colour damaged, my trousers were ripped, and the lining of another coat was torn. The staff made excuses and failed to offer me a discount or an apology. I’ve had good experiences there for years, but will certainly never return.

Took my Canada goose jacket in to be cleaned as stated that they specialise in cleaning them in the shop window.Jacket came back dirty and damaged . I returned it and was told it would be cleaned for free. On retuning to collect the jacket I was told I was lying and that they wouldn’t be recleaning it. The assistant said that she inspected it and that it was clean when it left the shop. This was not true . I was also told that she had emailed to tell me this and this was not true either. The assistant was extremely unprofessional and rude! My advise is stay clear!!!!

Been bringing my shirts and dry cleaning here for over 10 years- always happy with the service and friendly. There was a valet shirt service that was suggested for my worn shirts to give the collars and cuffs a proper clean- v happy with that as they look crisp again. Thank you!

If you are lucky enough to own a Canada Goose parka, please don’t make my mistake and trust Spots with your expensive jacket. They were appallingly careless, damaging my jacket by ripping off three toggles during the cleaning process, and didn’t even attempt to clean the milk stain I had sent it in for.When challenged, they produced the broken toggles from under the counter (so they knew they’d damaged my jacket!) and refused to refund any money from the £30 they charge, and were really quite unpleasant about it. Despite the window sign, after speaking with the warranty people at Canada Goose, Spots are definitely not approved dry cleaners or related to the coat brand. Avoid at all costs.

Having recently been taken over from its previous owners, this dry cleaner has really proven to cater to all of my needs. Their prices are reasonable (they do offer discounts if you pay upfront) and I have never had a problem with their service under the new owners.I would recommend Spots to anyone who is looking for a good, efficient service and would not be put off with the previous review due to the change in ownership.

Do not use this dry cleaner. We lived in the area for a long time and used to use this dry cleaner all the time. My family did as well. It used to be a fantastic business. Unfortunately (I think the former owner's son might have taken over), the new owner has taken the business downhill very fast.We took my wife's wedding dress in for a clean. The owner promised to get in touch to discuss how the cleaning went. Not only did he fail to get any part of the dress clean, but he didn't call for over 3 months, even though we constantly called him and even went to the shop a few times but he wasn't there. Eventually he took a call, but he then said that our concerns didn't warrant a response and hung up the phone on my wife!! Not just really poor customer service but rude as well!If I were you, I'd take your dry cleaning somewhere else. I will be and so will the rest of my family.

Used these guys for the first time on the recommendation of the Master Cobbler across the road (also great). Took in a black jacket with leather panels, which technically shouldn't even be dry cleaned. They warned me properly they couldn't guarantee the leather would be ok, but I've just picked up and am so impressed. The jacket looks like new - beautifully clean with all the horrible bobbling gone, and for a reasonable price!

Not a good experience. Left my silk scarf there and they damaged the material with a pin…

I am so sorry but I can say it’s better to avoid here. They put some stains on my trouser and tried to remove them to avoid my attention. They made the area with those stains faded in colour. Not to mention the trouser is worth almost £200.Advice to the owner : if you had made a mistake, simply accept it, apologise for it and find a solution rather than trying to explain your protocol of cleaning please. I will unfortunately never visit you again.
